"I've used K&N air filters for almost ten years now. I think the main reason I use them is for the overall cost effective value it has. It's basically a one time fee for a life time air filter. However, you do have to clean them and do it right or they can, potentially, mess with you mass air flow sensor. As far as fuel economy goes, I noticed an increase on my 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton pickups I've used them in. Now I have one in my Sequoia and I haven't noticed an increase. In all the vehicles I've used them in I've noticed quite a bit more low end torque. The drop in filters are good but you really notice a difference with the cold air systems which are quite a bit more pricy. To get the full benefits, one should really upgrade the entire air flow system in the vehicle with a performance exhaust system. I've got a Flowmaster system on my Sequoia. Easy air in, easy air out. Overall, the K&N air filter is a good filter to purchase and run in your vehicle." —Bryan H from Nixa, MO bought a K&N Air Filters for a 2001 Toyota Sequoia, 4.7L V8.
