Filter is great, Chevy fasteners suck.

I've used K&N filters on other vehicles and have noticed an improvement in acceleration and a small improvement in gas mileage. The main reason I use them is to avoid buying new paper filters. I'd recommend them over stock. The only problem I had was installation and that was due to the stupid design of the Chevy airbox, not the filter. Also, the Silverado uses a special head on the fasteners instead of a simple Philips or hex head.As I said, not K&N's fault.
