My new K&N air filter makes my car run so much smoother. It idles better and picks up speed faster. I am very happy with its results

Good filter. Rather difficult to install though, especially when you consider it's just an air filter - it was almost too tight of a fit.

Does a K&N air filter increase or decrease fuel mileage?

Will one of these K&N air filters help save fuel consumption? I'd love to improve my MPG. I know things can vary from vehicle to vehicle, but if this panel filter would help, approximately how much could my fuel economy improve?

Hey Ryan, it ultimately depends on how and where you drive, but many customers report MPG gains after installing a K&N air filter. Performance is improved due the increased volume of air flowing into the engine. Since your engine is making more power, it can take less RPMs (or a reduced engine load) to maintain cruising velocity. If you keep a light foot, you could see some improvement, 1-2 MPG is typical, but some customers have reported gains up to +5 MPG.
