Description

The verdict is in; cotton-gauze is for bandages—not air filters. 30 years ago cotton-gauze was the only way to make a performance filter, but that was 30 years ago. So, why do the leading brands still rely on ancient methods? No one knows, but leave it to Volant HV Cold Air Intake Replacement Filters with Donaldson PowerCore® Filtration Technology to launch the performance air filter into the 21st century.

By using advanced Donaldson PowerCore® Filtration Technology, Volant packs hundreds of staggered flutes into one rugged filter design. The flutes trap dirt at the surface instead of letting it clog up in the pleats like old-time filters. The PowerCore® allows more power-rich air and less engine-killing crud into your motor. And, your PowerCore® filter requires zero maintenance for the next 150,000 miles!

Already have a cold air intake? No problem, the PowerCore® fits most popular aftermarket systems. So, you can upgrade your K&N, Airaid or AEM intake to the unsurpassed performance and protection of the PowerCore®. Best yet, your PowerCore® Filter is backed by Volant's 4-year, 100,000-mile free replacement warranty.

Thanks to the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act: US Code – Title 15, Chapter 50, Sections 2301-2312, your vehicle’s factory warranty is protected by law when you add aftermarket parts.  Details

The filter is an excellent product, but it did not fit as well as the original Power Core filter in my Volant filter box. Had to raise the box cover by 3/4 ".

I had 75k on my old Volant filter and my average MPG was 17.4. Since installing the new one (3 tanks of gas) I have been getting 18.2.

AWESOME SOUND AND PERFORMANCE!!! -HOWEVER- Don't use these on Nissan Xterra's. Volant technical service told me that these provide TOO MUCH flow for the Xterra. My engine kept throwing PO171 Codes (Bank 1 Lean). I confirmed that my system had no leaks with my mechanic ($100 out of my pocket). Had to return it. AutoAnything gave a full refund thanks. Do yourself a favor and check with Volant first to ensure your vehicle can handle a PowerCore. They may breathe too good.

I just replaced the PowerCore filter in my 2007 Silverado LTZ with 6.0L V8. The first filter had 97,718 miles on it and still had no issues. Only replaced it because I wanted to. The truck runs great with the Volant CAI. You can hear and feel the power, plus it's always nice to save a little at the pump. I have been very pleased with the performance of this system and take every opportunity to recommend it to others looking for the best CAI.

I just installed this to replace the cone shaped original Volant Cold Air Filter on my 2005 Chevy Silverado Super Sport Pickup. I'll let you know how this filter does after 50,000 miles.

The first one I used only lasted 30,000 miles before it was noticeably dirty throughout the inside of the flutes, but that's probably because of the polluted city environment my car was driven in. The Volant air filter did a great job in keeping the throttle body clean, better than the K&N reusable filter it replaced in the cold air intake system. When the Volant is new, it may provide a slight throttle-response and gas mileage advantage over other types of filters common to cold air intake systems, but when it starts to clog there'll be a noticeable drop in gas mileage and throttle response. When I replaced my dirty Volant with a clean one, the improvement in throttle response was instantaneous. This is an excellent air filter to use if you don't mind spending the money to replace it every 30,000 to 40,000 miles.

This air filter is awesome! I have a 2002 jeep grand Cherokee limited, and it fit perfectly on my 77 series k&n tube. Noise from my BBK throttle body slightly decreased, and power gains were just a little bit more over K&n. Overall, it's better than k&n, and you don't have to clean and oil the air filter. Volants marketing pitch is that this filter equals to 3 regular cotton air filters, after reading before install, I was very skeptical of their claims. Well once I took my jeep out I noticed the responsiveness seemed more full, and strong. I am very pleased with this purchase and would recommend the power core to anyone.
