Injen IS Series Short Ram Intake Reviews

Not bad

Reviewed By SPC Mangkhalakhili M (SAN ANTONIO, TX) Reviewed for a 2002 Acura RSX —8/2/2015 2:39 PM

Overall solid, the screw with the rubber piece however did not fit well on the original mounting bracket. This made alignment of all the valves slightly difficult. Also the temperature sensor seems to fit a little loose. Was not a very hard process, but the written instructions and pictures did not help much in terms of assuring I was doing things correctly. Would help to include clarification on what a leak would sound like versus intended sound.

Volant Cold Air Intakes Reviews

Not complex, but confusing.

Reviewed By Stuart S (ARLINGTON, VA) Reviewed for a 2010 Ford F-150 —8/2/2015 9:59 AM

I purchased Volant CAI #191546 for my 2010 Ford F150 (5.4L). The several parts look and feel to be of very good quality. After installation, the engine bay is considerably less cluttered than with the OEM intake tube's 5 air chamber pods attached. The truck runs fine, with some improved throttle response. Too soon to tell about MPG effect. The lack of any instructions was disappointing, but there are some YouTube videos to watch that help. Instructions would cut install in half.

K&N 69 Series Typhoon Intake Systems Reviews

Good Intake but a bit pricey.

Reviewed By Travis G (Carterville, IL) Reviewed for a 2013 Nissan Altima —8/2/2015 9:39 AM

Installed this a few days before a long road trip and noticed a slight increase in gas mileage, averaged 33.5 mpg @ 70mph. Makes for more noticeable intake sound when you stand on the gas pedal, but nothing too obnoxious. Plan is to pair this with lightweight wheels and some custom exhaust work for maximum efficiency/mileage so this is a big part of it. Not a huge fan of the cost and the instructions were vague at some points but satisfied overall.
