The AEM Cold Air Intake starts with innovative AEM Dryflow filter technology, feeding faster, cooler air through the mandrel-bent aluminum intake pipe. That intake pipe is a stunner, too—most AEM Cold Air Intakes come with your choice of a Blue, Red, Silver or Polished finish.

Thanks to detailed instructions and AEM’s soft-mount hardware kit, installing the AEM Cold Air Intake is a breeze. All you need are standard tools and about an hour to start feeling the extra horsepower and torque. Best yet, AEM stands behind your AEM Cold Air Intake with a Lifetime Warranty. Order today, and have the coolest-running, coolest-looking sport compact on the block.

Notes

  • Emissions-related parts for new model year vehicles may be in "pending" status for C.A.R.B. exemption. Earning exemption status takes time, but will be complete before your new vehicle's first smog check.

"I received the product promptly after placing my order online. Great value and works well for my vehicle! It doesn't make it a pocket rocket but every little thing helps. I've installed similar products on other vehicles and this one seems just a little more technical than others. This is partly due to the layout of the Scion airbox. Overall, it's well worth the time and effort to install! Can't beat the price and quick delivery!!!"

"After i put my intake in i could tell a pretty decent increase in horsepower. My engine sounded a lot better and my muffler had more of a crackle to it. My MPG when up quite a bit also. i recommend putting the lower end of the system in from under neith the car, not through the engine compartment. I didnt have enough room to fit the filter and the last few pieces of tubing through the top as the directions said. However, i really like the result of putting the intake system in my car. I'm extremely pleased."

"I have an 03 Hyundai Tiburon GTV6, and I havent done much with the engine. The CAI was really the first mod I put on. The difference from the sound of the exhaust was the first thing I had noticed. When installed, you need to take the resonator off, which is a part to your car which basically dampens your exhuast note/sound. So with that off plus the CAI, you turn alot of heads. Makes my V6 sound like a V8. Pretty noticable increase in acceleration too. This is a must get mod for any car enthusiast. I love it!"

"I bought this product for my 2008 Accord Coupe V6. It produces a great intake sound at the RPM where VTEC kicks in. At 5k-6k RPM it sound vicious without sounding the least bit "ricy". At normal RPMs and in normal driving through city traffic the change is barely noticeable. The estimated change in HP by the manufacturer is 7HP, which is a little too small to be noticed by most people unless you had some recorded times before and after. However, one thing I did notice was a 2 MPG improvement in fuel economy in my daily routine of mixed city/interstate driving. The only negative thing is this product isn't for novice installers. It's not an advanced install, but it's something that was made greatly easier with the use of a hydraulic lift. The directions assume your using a wheel jack, and require you to take off a few extra parts not needed if using a lift. The product fit perfectly and had all required parts for the install. The filter sits right behind the driver side fog light and in a very well splash protected area in the bumper."

"easy installation!! better engine response!!! AEM Cold Air Intake it´s a cool upgrade for aveo, engine response most powerfull in first and second velocity, this is very cool, believe me... in contrast with this, the tube intake be hot with engine function for 5 minutes or more and conic filter don´t have the better position in car body for take cold air (this is situate down, behind the fog lamp... I think that can be better, if this will be situate in front, behind grill with adaptative acrilic, how other systems), this place for put the filter intake are a negative point , but in all version of aveo, intake entry is situate in this place of car body... For rest, this intake is a very great upgrade!!"

"The install of the intake took 10 mins tops. The removal of the old one was the pain. Make sure you unsnap the bumper past the headlight to the center of the car. Other than that the directions were great and the sound is to die for. Well worth it. Not too sure about the gas mileage yet, the intake sounds great and I am in the gas all the time."

"This is a good beginner mod to do. The instructions that come with it are easy to follow and the quality of the intake is great! It took me about 2hrs to do this mod and when I was done I didn't recieve a check engine light. I can feel a little more throttle response and with my TRD exhaust I get a nice growl of a sound at about 4000rmp's. Plus it makes the engine bay look a litter fancier."

"Took a little bit to get the old Air Intake System off of the car. The instructions show pictures that actually have the Bumper removed from the car. With the new Cold Air Intake on the sound of the Engine Reving is Amazing and you no Longer need to drop 1 Gear to Pass someone. You can Leave the Car in Drive and Just step on it. I love it. "Overall i'm very satisfied with this product. It's a great supliment to a stock engine. At about 3200 RPM things begin to growl with a lovely throaty sound. and it only gets louder as you go higher in the RPM range. She idled like a lost blind man for the first 65 or so miles. The check engine light came on after 40 miles and was doused once it reached 80. now everything works great. installation had some problems. while tightening the rubber mount grommet i broke the bolt. oops. it broke way too easily. then i had to extend my stock wires for the soleniod to reach across. extra 30 min. the rest is easy. overall, pretty good."

"Kind of a pain to get the air filter on because you have to go through the wheel well and the fit was pretty tight and took alot of small tweaking to get to fit right. If i can improve anything it would be just to have the air filter shoot straight down rather than having a bend for the air filter to fit in the wheel well. That should cut about an hour off of installation time, if you are doing it by youself. Other than that, I've had an increase in horsepower and gas mileage. Not to mention you can hear the intake working, especially with a turbo. Overall quality is excellent will be buying AEM products from now on."

"Easy install, amazing sound (particularly above 3500 rpm), price a little steep but you get the quality. Spec's call for a 3-4% increase in whp on my 270 hp coupe, could not feel the difference but saw it as my rpm races to redline much faster than stock. Definitely pleased with the purchase and plan on reaping the full benefits when I pick up racing lines y-pipes and set up the borla cat back system."

"I bought a new Mazda 3 and put this on it along with straight exhausts. Combined, I spent ~ $340. With just the cold air intake, power gains and better mileage are most notable on the highway. After about a month, I'm getting about a 7-8mpg gain on the highway. These modifications pay for themselves within a year. I had to take my car to a mechanic to install the cold air intake (I didn't have blocks to put it on), and installing both took about an hour of labor (+$65)."
