AEM intake System for 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT

"AEM Cold Air Intake System is the way to go!! It took about and an hour and a half to put it in--- some of the directions werent that clear in places. The Intake system has REALLY improved my car's performance. The power band comes on a lot sooner than it did before, there's power in every gear at lower rpms, and it sits down low enough in the engine compartment so that it isnt annoying at high RPMs. I havent calculated if it's helped my gas mileage yet but it probably will help if you dont romp on it all the time--- which is hard not to do once you have this thing in there. More Power, Sounds good, looks good, and totally worth it!"

"Nice sound. Can really tell the increase in horsepower in the mid rpm range. Installation was a bit more complicated than I had hoped, as it involved removing the entire front bumper assembly.(something to consider) Overall, I am pleased with the results."

"great system....easyily installed in about 1 hour by a pro...great sound at higher rpm ...with almost normal sound in regular driving....definate improvement in acceleration from 0-60...all in all good buy"

"Love that intake sound, and can hear the blow-off valve more clearly. Installation was a little tricky due to the turbocharger-- had to get under car to tighten clamps, and pipe runs close to cooling fan. Definitely noticed more power and possibly better fuel economy (too soon to tell). Overall a good value for the price. And it looks hot in red! Real shiny. And there's more open space under the hood."

"This intake well over accomplished my expectations.The deep growl that it produces is well noticeable at high rpm ranges. Great boost in horsepower and acceleration. Installation took only an hour and a half. Instructions were a tiny bit hazy but still good. Would recommend this product to anyone looking for performance aftermarket car products. Awesome would best explain it."

06 Spec-V AEM

"Wow what a difference in sound. The addition of the AEM cai has really opened up the growl of the 2.5 4 cyl. It is as quite as the stock air box untill you open the throtle and it really howls beyond the 5000rpm mark. Installation is straight forward except for the fender wall. It is slightly different than the instructions due to a one piece construction now compaired to a multi piece in the install book. Needs minor engine compartment mod that is easily done with a light tap from a hammer or you can cut with another tool. Only need a better fastening system with the down tube. One bolt isn't enough. Other wise a great system for not alot of money."

"I recommend the AEM cold air intake a lot. I noticed the improvement immediately. It didnt even take a long time to install it. Putting together the intake, taking off the stock, and placing the new one in, it took about 30 minutes. Highly recommended."

"The only troubles I had was that I did not have a 32mm deep socket on hand to use a bracket that was provided but I improvised. This intake looks sweet, sounds sweet, and adds some noticible power, mostly at higher rpms. I recommend this product, I would buy again."

"The intake is great. Disappointed in some areas like the directions to install, and the mpg upgrade. I only expected a 3-5 mpg upgrade, and haven't seen any. Sounds great! can really feel the power before vtec at 5.8k!!! All in all great piece..would buy again!!"

"AEM is the best choice for intake, the sound is just increadible, the gains are awesome and very noticible, and the setup is relatively easy (and i did it without ever removing a wheel). Great purchase, keep up the good work!"

"I wasn't expecting much when I purchased and installed this CAI... Product was delivered promptly, and installation took me and a friend just over an hour without taking off the wheel or wheel-well. The results are amazing! A noticable increase in HP, and the sound is great! Sounds stock up to 4500 RPM, then it roars up to the redline. Great investment, and reliable company. I highly recommend an Injen hydro shield... it works great!"

"well, im a complete novice at installing car parts. but i installed this thing and didnt blow up my car. taking out the resonator sucked because i didnt take off my tire. but, i got it off. the rest was cake."

"Sounds much better, and seems it breaths better. RPM seems to jumbp quicker. Only problem I had was adjusting the tube so it doesn't hit the bottom frame of the car. I didn't get any info on when I will get my CA approved sticker for Smog Check."
