Description

Get your intake system running cool as can be with the AEM Cold Air Intake. Thanks to a custom design that locates the filter outside the engine compartment, AEM Cold Air Intakes rush cooler air straight into your sport compact like no other intake setup can.

The AEM Cold Air Intake starts with innovative AEM Dryflow filter technology, feeding faster, cooler air through the mandrel-bent aluminum intake pipe. That intake pipe is a stunner, too—most AEM Cold Air Intakes come with your choice of a Blue, Red, Silver or Polished finish.

Thanks to detailed instructions and AEM’s soft-mount hardware kit, installing the AEM Cold Air Intake is a breeze. All you need are standard tools and about an hour to start feeling the extra horsepower and torque. Best yet, AEM stands behind your AEM Cold Air Intake with a Lifetime Warranty. Order today, and have the coolest-running, coolest-looking sport compact on the block.

Notes

  • Emissions-related parts for new model year vehicles may be in "pending" status for C.A.R.B. exemption. Earning exemption status takes time, but will be complete before your new vehicle's first smog check.

"Kind of a pain to get the air filter on because you have to go through the wheel well and the fit was pretty tight and took alot of small tweaking to get to fit right. If i can improve anything it would be just to have the air filter shoot straight down rather than having a bend for the air filter to fit in the wheel well. That should cut about an hour off of installation time, if you are doing it by youself. Other than that, I've had an increase in horsepower and gas mileage. Not to mention you can hear the intake working, especially with a turbo. Overall quality is excellent will be buying AEM products from now on."

"Easy install, amazing sound (particularly above 3500 rpm), price a little steep but you get the quality. Spec's call for a 3-4% increase in whp on my 270 hp coupe, could not feel the difference but saw it as my rpm races to redline much faster than stock. Definitely pleased with the purchase and plan on reaping the full benefits when I pick up racing lines y-pipes and set up the borla cat back system."

"I really dont have much to compare this to, but what i do know is it does exactly what i wanted. It gives the engine just a little noticeable kick and at the same time sounds amazing. I installed it myself and only took a couple hours. (the uninstalling of the stock intake took about an hour and 20 minutes, so real installation was like 20). All in all im extremely happy with my intake."

"I bought a new Mazda 3 and put this on it along with straight exhausts. Combined, I spent ~ $340. With just the cold air intake, power gains and better mileage are most notable on the highway. After about a month, I'm getting about a 7-8mpg gain on the highway. These modifications pay for themselves within a year. I had to take my car to a mechanic to install the cold air intake (I didn't have blocks to put it on), and installing both took about an hour of labor (+$65)."

"What a great product!! I am suprised that I don't have more intake noise, which is a good thing, but sounds awesome if I run it over 3500 rpms! Slight increase in power. Definitely more response when I romp on it! Installation wasn't bad and the instructions were easy to follow. Shipping was a little slow but I wasn't in a rush so it didn't matter. I'd recommend it for anyone!!!!"

"Part took about two weeks to arrive.Install took about 90 minutes.Directions were precise and had step by step pictues.Fit was perfect, except AEM logo is barely visible with pipe installed properly. Only difficult part of job was that filter has to be slipped through wheelwell then installed from above.Immediately after install there was a noticable improvement in torque. Also engine sound is much more "throaty" especially above 3500 rpms. Since I disconnected battery to do job, my mileage computer reset. My avg. mpg is up to 25 and climbing. I averaged 27mpg prior to the install. I'm hoping to get 29 mpg average with the new intake but the car sounds so good it's hard to keep my foot off the pedal.Overall it was an easy, inexpensive mod with a large impact on performance."

Nissan Versa: Reliving the excitement of a new car

"The AEM Cold air intake does much more than just help draw colder air into the engine... Removing the silencers from my particular car (07' Nissan Versa) has had a ridiculous sound effect with the variable valve timing on the engine. It sounds incredible. I've done intakes on an F150 pickup truck, Honda Civic and Nissan Sentra... The gain in sound quality from this particular part was unbelievable. Installing was rather annoying with the plastic fender clips and tight squeeze trying not to scratch the aluminum polish, but the end result of the AEM cold air intake leaves me with this economy car that sounds bad-ass. "And it only has an intake on it." Be warned: you will be very tempted to leave your throttle open for extended periods of time."
