Amazing part

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful.

"I would go no where else but AEM for intakes. The AEM V2 is out of the world. I installed this part on stock my civic and the horsepower and torque increase are very noticeable. The directions where good, however left you hanging on a step reconnecting the negative terminal at the bottom. The over all install time list for one hour if you never done this set aside two! This system even beats the other cold air intakes including AEM first generation CAI."

AEM V2 for a Honda Acord 2007

Posted on 07/28/2007 by Alonso L. - 2006 Scion tC (Sunrise,FL)

"I had a weapon-r short ram before and I wasn't impressed. It was sucking nothing but hot air from the engine bay. It took me a while to install the AEM (about 3 hrs because I'm a perfectionist) but it was worthy. Very smooth start. I can tell the difference. Better acceleration with the VSA off. Highly recommended."

"I debated on buying this intake for a while. I bought it and it took me about 2 hours to install. It says in the instructions you need to drain some coolant but you don't. It sounds amazing and I can feel a power increase. If you are debating whether or not to buy this, buy it. You will be impressed."

Power+cool+save gas = A MUST GET!! But no bypass valve available

Posted on 01/15/2007 by Yiu W. - 1990 Toyota Corolla (Elmhurst,NY)

"Installed this on an Acura 2000 3.2TL. Took like 1.5 hours to do so with a friend. We both had never mod a car before. I recommend downloading the bigger pictures from AEM's website because they're black and white, and it's hard to see. After the installation, the performance is crazy!! When I press the pedal slightly, the car just zoom ahead. The acceleration is definitely worth the money. I haven't measure the gas mileage yet, but so far, it's like 2-3mpg more. That alone will save you money. Also, my car keeps stalling and has a rough start after I turn the engine off and on again, and I spent $450 in the dealer to fix it, but still can't be solved. I suspect it's the engine isn't getting enough air. After the installation, everything is solved!!! the "check engine" light is off too!! Oh boy, I just LOVE this CAI!!"

The product, service, performance, and sound all excellent

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful.

"This was my first modification. I had heard a lot about the benefits of a cold air intake. After doing a lot of research on them I came to this one. I bought it from autoanything and they delivered in 2 days. Now, I couldn't go without it on my vehicle. I love it. There was a slight increase in horsepower and a definite increase in torque. I love the sound. It gives a nice deep purr. This sounds like an advertisement but it isn't. This is an excellent product. If you are debating to buy one and which one to buy- the debate is over."

Power + Sound - Honda 2000 Civic LX

Posted on 06/28/2006 by Guy H. - 2000 Honda Civic (Greenville,SC)

"Easy to install - Added great power and sound - After installing an exhaust system, the car has obviously opened up. I estimate 30 - 40 HP increase with exhaust, 5 - 10 without exhaust. More work to be done, ECU, Headers, etc... I highly recommend this intake system - you can't beat the price with the quality."

Posted on 06/23/2006 by Gianluca D. - 2002 Mitsubishi Eclipse (Thornton,CO)

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful.

"This thing was a great mod. It hasn't added a lot of hp yet because its my first upgrade. But it gave me a little bit of low end torque which is so deperatly need and it sounds mean as hell. Every other cold air intake I have ever heard is kinda whiny but this sucker is loud, obnoxious, and definatly lets everyone around you know your not running stock. I would recommend it to anyone who I talk to about the subject of modding and have already let my friends know what they need for thier cars."

Amazing difference

Posted on 05/21/2006 by Matthew B. - 1996 Honda Accord (Lewisville,TX)

"The install was easy. Instructions failed to mention what to do with the hole for a VTEC install that was not on a 94-05, but the parts bag included a rubber stopper. Don't forget to plug the hole if you have a '96 VTEC! The performance increase was very nice. When you punch it, you can hear more air sucking in and the engine responds. It has a very nice resonating sound at 4,000 RPM, but increases throttle response everywhere. I noticed a tiny shift toward better gas mileage, but only after I had fun with it for a few days. If you don't drive it hard, it sounds stock. Excellent part and looks good."
