"Doesn't seal tight to the fender on a 2007 Tundra 5.7L. Engineers culd have worked with the stock equipment to get a better fit. I think this CAI was meant for another vehicle but was close enough for a Tundra. Looks impressive but no one will ever see it under my hood. Seems to have great airflow."

volant kit for 2007 Colorado 3.7 does not fit.

"After 30 minutes of manipulation I finally got the air box to line up with the stock bolts. It sat too far forward and rested against the wiring for the lights and the A/C lines which worried me. When I went to put on the tube it didn't come close to lining up with the throttle body. Also, there was not a place on the box to connect the hose to the smog pump which attaches to the stock box!? Since it didn't fit I pulled the volant off and went to the internet to see if I could find a solution. What I found was more Colorado owners in the same boat. They either did a bunch of modifications to get the volant to fit or got rid of them. One of the owners had spoken to someone at volant who said they were trying this and trying that to find a solution for this particular application. The product should be engineered AND tested on the vehicle it is being sold to fit on. Only then should it be sold. Of course, the K&N has a spot to connect the smog pump hose and all of the people who bought them are happy with
them. Why didn't I buy the K&N?!"

"easy to install cause I watched another brand put in the same truck. The instructions? Must have missed somethin in the expanded parts picture. It doesn't tell you to use some of the existing hardware. Over all, it did just what the doctor ordered. Go fast or save gas."

"The Volant CAI looks great, was easily installed (very good directions) (one issue was that the holes on the bottom of the air filter box did not line up with the factory mounting holes, a drill and 5 minutes solved that) total installation time was maybe 1/2 h.
The sound at mostly open throttle is great, you can hear the air rushing through. Definitely more power, not sure about gas efficiency gains. I also have a Hypertech MAx Energy. stock exhaust. Nice product."

"I love my new Volant cold air intake. It provides slightly better acceleration. Not as loud as a K&N or other due to the closed box it comes in. Install was a breeze. With a friend it should take 30 minutes to an hour. No knowledge needed. Bolts right into factory location. Really roars around 2500 RPM, however. It shipped fast and in perfect condition. I highly recommend to anyone considering an intake."

"Oil based aftermarket filters cause havoc with the sensors within the intake system. This is a dry filter with up to 100,000 mile service life that was highly recommended by my mechanic (and no, he doesn't own stock...at least not yet). Improved throttle response and acceleration. I am averaging 1-2 MPG increase in gas mileage."

"I received my Volant Power Core CAI in a very timely manner and the overall quality of the product was quite good. The fit on one of the bolt hole in the box was off by about 1/2 inch and had to make accomodations for that. Intructions were not where to be found in the package. Only thing that came with the product was a parts list and some promotional material. Still had the system installed in about an hour. Haven't been able to check mileage but noticeable improvement in wide open throttle acceleration. Overall, very pleased with the product. Much cleaner looking that the bulky, gaudy factory system."

"better more responsive throtel @ low & high end. definately more air flow.like the fact that the filter element is enclosed & not exposed to the elements like most of the other cool air intakes. my f-150 hops w this intake, hypertech down loader & magna-flo exhaust. no difference in gas mileage, but performance gains pretty impressive."

"I read the reviews on this CAI and was a little skeptical about what they said. But this intake added more Horsepower and i read i was loud but anywhere between 2600 rpms to 3400 rpms the intake screams! as far as mpg its hard to say because i seem to keep the pedal to the floor just to hear the intake and flowmaster."

"I'm am verry happy with my recent purchase of the Volant Cold Air Intake. The fit and finish of the product is superior to any other CAI I have used. It fit very snug, had no fitment issues and looks great under the hood. The material used to make the tube is thick and durable with a glossy smooth air track. You also have to enjoy the added rumble when you get down on it!"

"The installation was very simple it took me 45 minutes, it looks, and sounds great! The instructions for installation really sucked (putting it mildly). Most non technical minded people need to know that you need to install the mass air flow sensor with the opening towards the air box and that the intake tube does not come with pre-drilled mass air flow sensor holes or nut plates, you need to install the screws directly into the intake tube. The hp gain is moderate, the torque increase is very noticeable, the gas mileage is much better if you drive easy but if you don't your gas mileage will be worse than with the stock air box. This is a great product if you are looking for a fast and easy to install modification."
