"I purchased this manufacturer due to a friend running it in his SS Chevy pick up. He was happy with his application so I decided to give it a try. Sadly for me, my experience wasn't the same. After installing this intake (about 45 minutes with no major hassles and a good overall fit) my SES light came on. After two resets the light comes back on after about 15 minutes after the engine on. The SES code are for both the O2 sensors running full rich. (this is/was the only modification to the trucks power-train) Called Volant and was surprised to be told to send the unit back if the SES light continued. So it's going back. At the time of this review AutoAnything was working on a RMA so I could return the unit. AutoAnyhting has been wonderful through the process and also seemed surprised that Volant's answer was pretty much "yeah we know it doesn't work so just send it back" One of AA's reps confirmed with a tech at Volant that this was the proper course of action. At the end of the day I'm frustrated with how it all turned out, but Kudos to AA and Volant for not making me keep a faulty product. Now lets hope I get that RMA."

"AAA+++
had it over a week and very pleased...
a little tight getting it in without
any written instructions...sounds like I put a performance exhaust on it when floored but still quiet at idle and cruising...you can feel the power increase in the seat of your pants!!!...and so far about 1-2 mpg improvement...
no oiling or cleaning the filter so it wont set off the check engine light and hurt the warrenty..."

Installation took approx 45 min and the gains were noticeable 5 min after i turned the key. Intake looks great in the engine bay and the sound it produces is awesome."

"The installation of the CAI was really easy and took only about 20min or so. Over all power difference is noticeably different in the butt dyno. My only problem is that it did not come with the pad that goes under the box between the fender. It is very noisy under WOT and causes some vibration i believe due to having the pad under the box. Also i wish the box was a little thicker making it stronger.
But the power gains are worth it some have shown with the volant on a titan to have 10 horsepower gains havent had time to get to a dyno."

"Delivery was slow (more a problem with UPS then Autoanything), instructions were lacking to say the least but the install is simple enough to figure out. *Make sure you have your air mass sensor in correctly*... easy thing to mess up and the "instructions" don't remind you of this.
Don't judge it by it's performance the first day or two. Allow time for the onboard computer to adapt. Sounds great during acceleration, but gets obnoxious when hitting the high RPM's. The performance is there... the gas mileage is hard to tell... maybe +1 mpg. Get rid of that nasty back pressure with a new exhaust and the two will work great at raising those mpg's.
All in all i would buy it again."

"This thing works! It has improved my gas mileage considerably. I love the 'throaty' sound my exhaust makes. I love that it has a complete box around the filter with a lid. I was leary about other intakes that used the hood of the vehicle as the lid. Now when I get out in the deep stuff I don't have to worry about my fan kicking up water onto my filter.

Volant Cold Air Intake for 2007 Toyota Tundra 5.7 ltr

"It sounds great and gives a little more power. Have not seen a difference in gas mileage. The instalation was not 100% accurate but easy to figure out what was required to do. One of the bolt holes do not line up so you will have to drill a whole in the wheel well. Not a problem though. It will not affect anything. Over all, I am very please with it. But if you get one, I do recommend adding some type of performace muffler. I believe they will work better together then just the cold air intake alone."

"The installation went very easily (15 minutes), the materials & workmanship is quite good making a precise fit. There is a distinct throttle snap difference, there is an increase in throttle body noise (not objectionable), there is an improvement in mileage. So far, a great bolt-on! Tony in Albq."

"Installation of the Volant Cold Air intake on my 2007 Tundra was fairly intuitive. You basically take off the old and install the new in the same location. I like the sound it makes when accelerating or under load. It lets me know what the engine is doing. I feel there is more power, but that is just my opinion. My milage after one tank of gas is up by about 7%, which is an unexpected surprise. Could be the change to summer fuel,warmer temps, or my recent "grandpa" driving to conserve fuel. Overall I think this was a good investment."

"I installed this on my 07 Xterra. The performance increase was noticeable, and gas mileage improved noticeably as well. The install was not easy. First, the airbox intruded deeply into the area of the horn, and the horn wires has to be spliced and the horn relocated. Second, the mounting holes in the airbox did not quite line up with the mounting points on the inner fender. I had to wrestle the dog out of the airbox for more than an hour before I got everything threading in properly. Thirdly, the MAF mount threads did not match the factory ones and no new ones were included, I had to run out and buy screws that fit. Great product, but be prepared for some work."
