any better yet,but my foot is always on the gas and the sound is awesome."

"I got about 1.5 mpg increase from this unit and can feel a little more pick up. My engine light turned on after about fifty miles. I reset the ECU by unplugging the battery for a while. I tried this twce and the check engine light keeps coming back on after a couple days of driving. I'm going to the dealer tomorrow. I hope they don't charge me (ha, ha)."

"I purchased one for my 2004 Ford F350 6.0L Diesel. The installation took less than an hour. However, there was some difficulty getting the bolts to line up for one of the parts of the intake. I have not noticed any difference in performance or fuel mileage gains at this time. It fits nicely once it installed."

"Installation was a breeze, other than the Mass Air Flow Sensor needs to read, (Install with connection toward grill). Currently it reads install the same as original which is not possible since the original mounts verticle instead of horizonal. As I quickly discovered, the engine will not run if installed reversed. A very small problem given the benefits after installing. Gas mileage has improved greatly, between 5-8 MPG. At 70 MPH the engine only tachs 1600 revs. Excellaration is instant. I passed a car this weekend running around 50 MPH. When I looked down at my gauges, I had already exceed 110 MPH before pulling back into the right lane. The increased engine noise makes my fuel injection system sound like a old "Holley Quadrajet" when excellerating quickly. This additional noise may be bother some people but not those that love the sound of horsepower!"

"I combined my Volant cold air intake with the Jet mass airflow sensor and wow! Way louder, way meaner, way more power. I have been buying K and N all my life, but Volant puts them to shame with the cold air box, easily. Now just waiting for the cold air scoop to come out for even more power! Installation could have been better, had to drill a 2 new holes to properly line up with factory holes for box."

"I have a 2007 Toyota Tundra regular cab, shortbed, 2wd, with the 5.7 v8 iForce engine. The intake puts it at 400 hp ( 19 more than stock)! I love it and it does save gas, not to mention the sound it makes when you floor the gas pedal. I recommend it to all Tundra owners."

Volant-the King of all Intakes
Posted on 12/25/2007 by Kesanee M. - 2007 Toyota Tundra (Upland,CA)
2 of 2 people found the following review helpful.
"Installation: for you 07 Tundra owners.. modification is necessary because it doesn't lay flat against the side leaving an undesirable gap. I was able to eliminate it by bolting it down under the wheel well. So instead of 20 minutes of installation, it was more like 2 hours.
The Test Drive: What can I say, taking it out after the painstaking installation proved to be completely worth it. The racing rumble from under the hood was so beautiful that it'd bring a grown man to tears. Acceleration is super quick with instant response times all the while the beastly growl keeps you wanting to push on the pedal.
Verdict: A little goes a long way and if you want to grow up to be a manly man with an even manlier Truck..Volant is a must.Thank You AutoAnything for my awesome Christmas Present!"

"The Volant cold air intake I installed on my Chevy 1500 LT Vortec Max made a difference. I get more throttle response throughout the RPM range which will equate to better gas mileage because I do not have to use the gas pedal as much as before to get up to speed. Its not a turbo but it does what i expected it to do. It was worth it for me. It is easy to install, but the directions dont guide you too much. You gotta feel it out as you install it. Its easy though once you get the old one outa the way. Dont forget to connect the breather hose when ur done."
