"I have owned two Volant intakes. One for a 98 chev. silverado and recently one for an 05 tahoe. I guess I must be getting older, because I ended up putting it on the tahoe and then didn't like it as much as the stock sound. I then put it on my 02 5.4 GMC. I do like it on this truck. I does improve the power a little and sounds better. Not sure at this point if I will buy any intakes again. The stock engines anymore run very well. One thing I will say is that the installation was very easy and the fit and finish is very nice. Volant makes a quality product."

"this intake has it all. it has the performance with the styling. it looks great and it makes the motor come alive. doesnt fit perfect to throttle body, but that is an easy fix. great product"

"I had a great experience with ordering from AutoAnything because they were very proficient. The Volant Cold Air Intake I bought for my '98 Durango fits perfectly, but just like all other reviews I had read before I decided to purchase this product, the installation instructions suck. I was able to figure it out, but it was not meant for the ordinary person that doesn't know too much about cars. The other problem I had was the fitting between the filter and the tube going to the engine didn't fit right and had to do a little modification to reduce the diameter just enough for the filter to fit properly. Overall, I did notice the difference. I let my brother test drive my D and he said the same thing."

Bad Fitment on 07 NBS Silverado

"This CAI looks good after installed. It look s like a factory OEM unit. The fitent is very bad. This was a big let down. I even considered returning it to exchange for an S&B. Only three of the four bolt holes for the air box align up with the bolt holes from the truck. The performance is good based off the way the truck accelerates. I have thisa CAI with a Magnaflow exhaust and it sounds aewsome.I would try S&B for a NBS Silverado."

"The Volant Cold Air Intake Made A Huge Difference.My Truck Sounds Alot Better.IT Also Has Better Acceleration.I'm Not Sure About The Gas Milage.the drawback Is The Instructions Are Hard To Follow.Overall I Think It's A Great Buy."

"Sam in eastern Virginia. Everything fit pretty well and even the intake snorkle that takes air from the hood scoop fit nicely.Installation took about one hour. The only probems I had was that the bolts that install the brackets to the intake scoop and at the air cleaner box need to be a little longer. The breather tube needs a hose to connect to the intake tube as the Dodge hose doesn't adapt well. The real excitment was in cranking the engine up and hearing that air rush through the hood scoop. overall I am pleased with this package. This was installed on my 2006 Dodge SRT10 Pickup. I would love to see one made for my 2006 Charger SRT8 making the hood scoop functional on that model as well."

"No instructions for what to remove from the OEM equipment. After removing original intake and airbox you have to remove additional hardware from the engine compartment. Took several attempts to get everything to align but was critical for an air tight install. In the end I was unable to use the ring clamp to afix the filter because it wasn't long enough. First tank of fuel after MBRP cat back exhaust install and this filter resulted in a 1.5 MPG increase in fuel."

"This is the best cold air intake system available. Not only does it look amazing, but its got that clean almost stock look, but trust me theres nothing stock about the performance you will notice after installing this thing! Sounds great and you can feel the difference in the throttle right away, I completely reccomend this kit, not only that NOBODY beats the price here at AutoAnything, trust me I looked everywhere!"

"I check gas mileage on every tank i put in the truck after i installed the volant CAI, teste 2 tanks at diff. speeds 85 mph went from 11 mpg to 12.41 mpg, at 65-70 mph went from 12 mpg to 14.17 mpg works great sounds awesome."

"One of my buddies had one put into his truck and swore that it was a really good intake for trucks. I saw it and i had to have it because of the closed box, it made my engine look so much better!! When i press the gas i fly. I also have a Flowmaster 40 exhuast. Great power added, and the gas has been saved, about 1-3 MPG depending how I drive."

"Instructions are extremely vague and useless. I had to go to internet sites for additional installation information. Basically install is pretty simple overall, once you understand the directions. Fitment along the fenderwell needs to be tighter. Performance of unit is fantastic. Overall I am pleased with item other than direction."

"This product, in my opinion, is Good but not Great. If you want to save money, go with a cheaper brand. I bought it because they said it would boost power and save gas. It doesn't save me any gas at all. Combined with a dual Flowmaster exhaust, it does boost power."

"Got this a few weeks ago and installed it. Installation was very easy. The sound is great. I've also noticed an increase in gas milage and mid-range HP. I'm getting 15.8 gal. in the city. I'll compare again after a couple more tank fulls. I would recommend this to everyone."
