Description

Increase performance up to 18 horsepower, add 40 lbs of torque and even save gas mileage with the Volant Cold Air Intake System! The rocket scientists at Volant have truly outdone themselves with this one.

The Hi-Flow Velocity Air Box breathes in oodles of performance-enhancing air via the massive air duct. Many Volant Cold Air Intakes also include an enclosed air box that takes power and efficiency higher. Some drivers even report an increase in gas mileage by 1 to 2 miles per gallon. What's more, it can take less than an hour using standard household tools to replace the old, suffocating factory air box.

Best yet, Volant gives most vehicles a performance filter choice: the original high-performance cotton-gauze filter with cleaning intervals of 35,000-50,000 miles, or the all-new oil-free PowerCore air filter, requiring maintenance after a whopping 100,000 miles.

"i don't get anymore miles per gallon on my gas milage. & i don't feel anymore power increase. when you smash the gas to the floor, all you hear is the loud noise that the intake is making. sounds like a ships horn."

"I definately recommend this CAI to anyone lookin for more power, better fuel economy, and alot better throttle response! Im almost completely happy with my intake. The only thing that bothered me a little is that I have a throttle body spacer already installed, and the Volant system uses the factory resonator, which I cant use with my throttle body spacer, so I had to find my own method of making an extension tube for from the volant tube to my throttle body. Other than that, FANTASTIC!"

"True cold air intake and best looking kit on the market IMHO. Installation was easy even without any real instructions, but only three of the four mount screws would line up. Truck runs great and sounds even better and I don't even have a cat back yet. Seat-o-the pants power is very impressive, nice low end / mid range now. Nice addition to the Hypertech tuner. Very nice intake!"

"I decided to go with the Volant Cold Air Intake because the filter was more enclosed than the other brands. As mentioned earlier, you increase your speed and understanding of installation if you follow the K&N directions. Overall, I have notice improvements in all areas (MPG, throttle response, sound) and am very pleased with the Volant. I have made several purchases with AutoAnything and am very satisfied with both price and service."

"First time adding a cold air intake. Box arrived without instructions. Was able to get instructions after calling Auto Anything. Cold air box was a tight fit, tighter than it needed to be. had to elongate the bolt hole that mated the air box to the side scoop. Haven't driven much yet, but for now seems to be at least 2mpg improvement. Truck seems to breathe much easier and run stronger. so far it is definitely worth the money."

"Even though the installation instruction have no words, only pictures, it's easy to install. I haven't noticed any improvement in gas mileage, my vehicle does seem to have a greater take off from a dead stop. Also when when having to really get on the accellerator, it sounds like a bigger motor is under the hood. When I step on it while on the interstate to pass or just because, the eccelleration is very good and it sounds like it."

"Overall I am very happy with this item. I easily am getting an additional 2 mpg more, quicker throttle response, it sounds awesome when you hit the gas hard - but nice and quiet when driving normal. The instructions were not very accurate, many parts and items included that you had to figure out for yourself and as well I don't car for the way it fits the fender."

"I have a 2008 5.7 liter Toyota Tundra and it took about an hour by myself. If I would have gone strictly by the instructions I would have had a couple of items left over. Overall I am very satisfied with the power increase and mpg gains. If you do this yourself you should have some automotive engine knowledge. Go for it, you will love it! The sound is awesome."

"After doing my research on the Web, this proved to be exactly what I thought it was going to be/ They have apparently made a few minor adjustments for the 2009 Tundra to help with the seal against the fender. The inly issue I have is the kit seems to need a second spacer to better balance and attach the plastic 5.7 liter cover that goes on top of the engine."

"This is definetly worth it, i have seen an mpg increase when i use it properly. But the only problem is that it sounds so nice that i like to gun it everywhere. Pick up has for sure become better. Overall a great buy i would recommend it to anyone. If you want to know how to install it on an 09 dodge ram go to truckin mag's website and they did something similar on an 09."

"The intake sounds great once you get it installed. The installation instructions suck. I ended making my own up as I went along. If you are installing on a late model (2004 or later) F-150, I had to drill a hole for one of the mounting holes. Also, I found it easier to install the tube on the throttle body and clamp it down once snug. Then you can attach the plastic tube and clamp and work backwards. Overall a great product that really looks awesome and helped my trucks performance."

"this cold air intake is definitely the way to go for the 5.7 hemi...i noticed a pretty good increase in power and it makes a nice rumble under the hood as well. also added some mpg's if you drive right..it was a little bit of a tight fit putting it in but i guess that means its not going anywhere....great product cant go wrong!!"

"I really like my new Volant Intake. I can feel more power at take off. I can hear that the engine is not starving for air anymore. I don't have to step on the accelorator as hard as I had before to get going. Also, there is no hesitation like there was before. I can't help but think that I am also getting better gas mileage."

"I have installed both K&N and Volant cold air intakes on my two Chevy trucks. Both have 5.3L engines, both have Granatelli MAS and Airaid TBI spacers, and have been re-programmed for perfomance using aftermarket programmers. The Volant sounds great at open throttle, but is much quieter than the K&N during normal acceleration and running. Seems to have more power also. Only gripe is PVC hose is not long enough - but installation was easy, looks great and really has improved both milage (when I can keep my foot out of it!) and performance. Two thumbs up!"

"I got this intake in 4-5 days. took at least an hour to install. Nothin really to it, because my truck doesn't have MAF sensors etc... All I had to do was change the stud in the throttle body out, remove factory spacer, and breather hose, place the bonnet over the throttle body, connect the tube to the reducer, put the filter on, connect the new breather hose, to an already existing hose, tighten hose clamps. Pretty much it. Had to make one minor modification, but other than that pretty easy. Very noticeable increase in power, fuel economy too. Better than the K&N Filtercharger I had on it before. I would recommend this product to anyone. The truck has a 4.3 Liter Vortec V6 w/TBI."
