Description

Increase performance up to 18 horsepower, add 40 lbs of torque and even save gas mileage with the Volant Cold Air Intake System! The rocket scientists at Volant have truly outdone themselves with this one.

The Hi-Flow Velocity Air Box breathes in oodles of performance-enhancing air via the massive air duct. Many Volant Cold Air Intakes also include an enclosed air box that takes power and efficiency higher. Some drivers even report an increase in gas mileage by 1 to 2 miles per gallon. What's more, it can take less than an hour using standard household tools to replace the old, suffocating factory air box.

Best yet, Volant gives most vehicles a performance filter choice: the original high-performance cotton-gauze filter with cleaning intervals of 35,000-50,000 miles, or the all-new oil-free PowerCore air filter, requiring maintenance after a whopping 100,000 miles.

1 of 2 people found the following review helpful.

"I own a 2005 Silverado 4.3 v6. I work hard with this truck and with the volant intake I get much more horsepower and the sound is great. I would recommend this to anyone. It was well worth the money and I am upset I did not get it sooner. Anyone that bought the 4.3 should definately buy the intake for more power."

"I put on the stage 2 cold air intake about 2 weeks ago. I freaking love it.. It added some distinctive sound on acceleration and really did add quite a few more ponies to boot. Well worth the price. "this air intake system puts your new tundra 5.7L to over 400 horses" good stuff"

"I have a 2007 Tundra and the miles per gallon indicator showed one mpg improvement immediately after I installed my unit. I verifyed it by checking manually and it actually was almost 2 mpg better! I'm sure it made a difference in the power but all I was looking for was more mpg."

Great product but slightly flawed

Posted on 10/03/2007 by Dallas V. - 1985 Toyota Pickup (Littleton,CO)

0 of 1 people found the following review helpful.

"I love the performance I got from the intake the only problem honestly was the crappy instructions that came with it. All i got was a picture diagram and the parts. The instructions did not show that the mass airflow sensor needed to be reversed on the new intake and did not explain what to do with the extra vacuum line and sensor on my 07 TACO"

"I install the Volant intake in about an hour, not difficult at all. I instantly notice an increase in power, opened the air flow right up. It has a growl now when you get on the pedal it sounds great. I also have an increase in MPG no numbers but I definitely notice a gain. Autoanything had the absolute best price around period"

"The Volant system looks great, is easy to install, and works very well. I can tell a difference in mileage and performance. The only thing that I would even consider adding/changing is duct work to allow the forcible intake of outside air, something that goes to the front of the truck. Thanks !!!!!!! JEFF"

Posted on 09/25/2007 by Matthew K. - 2006 Ford F250 (Coconut Creek,FL)

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful.

"i've had the Volant Intake on my F250 SD for about a week now. It took me probably 45 minutes to finally figure a way to put it in around all the other engine components. But once it was on and I took it for a spin, I could immedeately hear the deep rumble and notice a quicker response when I hit the pedal. I am really happy with my purchase and would definetly recommend it to others. As far as ordering it through AutoAnything, well it was a breeze. I recieved it in just three days without hassle."

Not sure if it's worth the money

Posted on 09/24/2007 by Kevin N. - 2007 Dodge Ram (Youngsville,LA)

"Nice system quality wise. With that said, instructions suck, powercore filter does not fit in box flush (you have to force the cover down to screw down). The intake tube coming off the Hemi Hat has slipped some requiring adjustment. It remains to be seen if this will be a regular occurence. The sound is great, not sure about performance but I would say it is about the same. Gas mileage has not really changed. Overall, nice system, good sound, instructions are confusing, assembling is a PITA, not sure if it's worth the money but us car guys never think with our wallets."
