"As far as intake systems go, Volant is simply the best. The install instructions were a bit more tricky than expected. I can definitely tell a difference in acceleration when I put the pedal on the floor, and there is a nice growl from the engine along with it."

"I like the volant cold air intake. It really helped free some extra hp. the directions wernt the most helpfull. With a few changes, "langths of the rubber spacers and foam sealers" the cold air intake boted in and runs good. I would have to say it hasnt helped out my gas millage, it staied the exact same."

'03 Dodge Dakota 4.7 Kit 16947

"Kit 16947 is only listed for the '04 Dakota 4.7, it does fit the '03 Dakotas as well. the kit has provision for the breather and the air temp. sensor that many other intakes did not have. The sealed box design was a nice feature. The instructions were more of a blue print and parts list then instructions. I have only had it in the truck for a week but have noticed that at highway speeds my rpm is lower and I don't have to press down on the gas as much. I have not had any of the wine that some people say they have with other kits. under load it deepened the sound of the exhaust. Also is pepier from a stand still. I hope the gas mileage will get better with the kit in place. I have not been able to get a true check of gas mileage yet. Down falls are the instructions and lack of complete applications guide for the kit. Meaning it will fit '03-'04 Dakotas and Durangos with the 4.7 not just '04 Dakota. The cover plate alignment was a bit off. Two screws were a little tight to get in place."

"I never had a CAI so I do not have a comparision but this product seems good. There is slight gas MPG improvement. It is loud when accelerating. Also, I had to drill a new hole for installation because the factory ones didn't match up."

2007 Nissan Titan

"I put this system on my Titan and it was a very snug fit. It appears to have better pick-up and is definatly more noisy when you step on the throttle. (sounds pretty cool)The fit is so snug that I wasn't able to put in a throttle body spacer which I ended up returning and was dissapointed that I couldn't use both for better performance and possibly better fuel economy. There is probably a way to cut the plastic tubing but I didn't want to risk it."

"This was such an easy install. It has provided a great kick in the pants as far as power, throttle response and great sound. Mileage only slight improvement, but thats what is advertised. Just be careful with the disconnecting the sensor."

"This intake helps my truck breathe easier, it was my first add-on for my new truck. Now I can get the exhaust kit to allow better airflow all the way through. The Volant cold air intake was easy to install only taking me about 2 hours. The only thing that slowed me down was the lack of better intructions for us first timers. Thanks."

"Simple install, tube from air box to turbo was too long, made fit by leaving air box loose and tightening after tube was clamped to air filter, had to force box to bolt it down. Decent product, could have fit better all in all, satisfied."

Great throttle response, waiting to check mileage increase

"Although it was a little pricey, it works great. I immediately noticed a difference, especially in town (takes less pedal to get up to speed). I love how it easily bolted in to the stock holes for the original airbox pan. The instructions could be more in-depth. I had to figure out for myself to remove the rubber grommets from the original OEM tubes, etc. Overall a good system. I'm waiting to check my mileage increase and hoping for at least 2mpg more."

"I could not believe how easy it was to install this. Go to Volant's website and look for the Webcast video for the installation on a Silverado. I did not even have to look at the instructions to install it. Noticed low end and mid range power immediatly. According to the manufacturer it dynoed a 23 horsepower gain, I believe it with the performance. Can't advise on milage increase."

"WAS EASY TO INSTALL, GOOD QUALITY, I HAVE A HYPER TECH II AND ADDING THE VOLANT WAS LIKE TAKING A MAJOR RESTRICTION OFF, IT JUST OPENED UP THE AIR FLOW AND MAKES MY 5.2L 318 SCREAM. I AM SORRY I WAITED SO LONG TO ORDER IT. MAKES A WONDERFUL DIFFERENCE."

"This CAI fits tight and breathes easy. An intake is one of the best mods you can get for the HEMI as the stock intake breathes poorly. Notice power increase, exhaust tone, and better throttle response."

"I had first go my dual exhaust on. I noticed a slight difference in HP. Not to much. When I got my Volant box cool intake system inn, along with the PowerAide Spacer. When it got placed on the very next day, I notice a difference for sure. You could diffently tell a difference in the horsepower. It has more take off/ get up and go power now. Before any of this being added, it seemed to drag when taking off at first. Now, it has NO!! problem at all. This was for sure a great move and decision I made by doing this to my 2007 Hummi H3X. If my hummi could speak, it would surely say THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I am very pleased."
