Easy install

"Installed in my 2001 Dodge Ram 5.9L in about 15 min with a noticable change in off idle acceleration and throttle response. Will Not fit with Trans Dapt throttle body spacer. Definitely would purchase again and will probably add the cold air intake tube (ram air) later. Great product!!"

F-150 Spins Tires

"Installed Volant in '05 F-150,4.6L, 4WD. Could hear the air intake difference immediately after install. About 2 weeks later, had Flowmaster series 50 muffler & 3" dia. tailpipe installed. Can now spin the rear tires from a stop, which would not happen before. Throttle response is noticeably quicker. Only the lack of a CLEAR set of install instructions prevented a 5 star rating. Very satisfied with this product."

"Outstanding Service....Ordered it Monday morning, on my doorstep Wednesday afternoon. My son & I installed the system on my 06 F-150 in about an hour. The "How To" guide on fordtrucks.com is very helpful. I had a Vortex Duel Exhaust system installed last month and knew the other end could use some help also. Man, the Volant system really does work well. I noticed a lot more response from the 3-valve right off the bat. When you mash the gas people turn and look, "what the h...", It feels and sounds like my old 390 Mustang GT. The Volant Cold Air System fit great and is well worth the price. I really liked this truck when I bought it, now I'm totally in love with it..."It Rocks" Dennis G. Boise, Id."

"The Volant Cold Air Intake System works great, was very easy to install, I could tell a difference in response right of the bat, and I am getting 1-2 miles per gallon more. I am going to get one for my Z-71. People turn their heads when I drive by in my Escalade, but, when I "punch it" it really gets peoples attention."

"Well first of all the instruction: far from detailed. then the bolts didnt match up, called volant, they sent the same bolts. no one in the world sells a 6mm bolt 90mm long, had to fab up 1/4 inch studs, tapped the manifold to 1/4, Got it installed. SOUNDS MEAN AS HELL!!!! whoops rice burners asses!! nice horsepower gain, not so much on the gas, feels nice goosen it around corners and scarin old ladys. Ive noticed people tell me to slow down more now, but hey theyed understand if they were drivin my mean machine!"

"The installation was uncomplicated, though it would have been helpful to have some sort of instructions (none in the box). Though the kit is advertised as "custom" it is far from an "exact fit" -- but still fits the space where the OEM part was installed. The ad says no drilling, etc. -- but that is only IF you do not want to bolt it down. Be prepared to move the wiring harness -- something else that the Volante folks fail to mention. BUT, the added HP and the deep throated sound make it worth the minor stuff... I'm pleased with the purchase and will be adding one to my son's F150 shortly."

"Easy ordering..fast shipping The breather hose included w/the system was supposed to be 17 inches..mine was 16 1/2 in. It just barely reached and kept slipping off..even if it stayed on the hose would be crimped not open to flow..will need a longer hose. The instructions were o.k. They never told you that you needed to disassemble the factory air system, take apart the sensor and install it into the new one..I kinda had to figure it out myself. over all i'm happy."

"Unit has nice appearance. Fit of the unit for install could have been a little better (PVC Valve Hose not compatible) but was able to modify it to work. Otherwise, can fell more power, both off the line and at top of rev band and sounds mean. I like it!"

2005 FORD F150 5.4L

"Sweet intake system! I have been researching the cold air intakes for about a year now and after reading the reviews here decided this was the one. The installation instructions were a bit vague so I went to www.fordtrucks.com where I downloaded a How-To guide for my model truck which is complete with pics and very helpful. The major problem that I encountered was the power steering pump resorvoir rubbed against the filter box. My remedy for that was to remove the mounting bolts for the resorvoir and take a round file and longate the mounting holes enough so it now has clearance. Love the polished aluminum lid. It looks like it is a factory installed unit.Optional ram tube a bit pricey so will probably fabricate something myself. Noticed increased throttle response and horsepower. Hopeing for better gas mileage, however too early to tell since I just can't keep my foot out of it. Love the growl, not as noisy as the open filter I had on my previous truck. This was a nice addition to my Flowmaster dual cat-back exhaust system. Got my son thinking about one for his new Toyota pick up. Checked around and Autoanything had the best price. Thanks guys and would recommend to anyone!"

"Installed on 03 ford f150 with 4.6 engine. Took one hour total. Gained 2.5 mpg on the highway and 1.5 to 2 mpg pulling 16 foot trailer. Am buying another one for SUV."

"I got the intake in opes of a little more power in addition to my flowmaster muffler system. Although it did not give me the low end gin i was hoig for it did really open up the air flow. the increased flow resulted in a killer growl fom the engine compartment. I am more than happy with my purchase."

Not as easy as it looks

"I read several "reviews" before I bought this product...one saying it took him only 15 minutes to install. He must not have installed this product on a GMC Safari van. I wanted a cold air intake because the stock one has very small breather openings and the Volant was the only company I found that makes a cold air intake for the Safari. Most everything was straight forward except getting one of the hard plastic tubes around the air mass sensor. After a lot of expended energy and time I called their tech support. They said to cut 1/4" splits on opposite sides of the tube, then and a third or fourth if necessary. Why should I have to do this when it is supposed to be a custom fitting product that costs over $200.00! It took more than hour to finish the entire install from adjustment to final tightening. I will say I like the look and sound of the engine compartment and I think I've gained some usable horsepower and a little better fuel economy. Even a little better fuel economy these days with the high cost of fuel, shouldn't take too long to recover the cost of the product. Overall I can say I'm a satisfied customer...not an exuberant one, but satisfied."

"This is hands down the best intake I have ever used on a car. The throttle responce is amazing, power is awsome, and the mpg went up as well. the Titan has some balls, but with this kit they get alittle bigger."

"I'm really satisfied with my intake. It helped on low to mid range power and made my dual exhaust sound even better with a more throaty sound when you kick in to passin gear. it has also improved my mileage by almost 2 mpg.It was very simple to install 20 minutes tops for my model truck. If anyone is interested in getting one i would definately recommend it."
