"The Volant was easy to install-fit perfectly. I also installed the lower air intake - a little more difficult to put on. Had to modify lower mounting to line up existing tow hook bolt. Very noticable difference in performance and what a growl from the engine! It is amazing what such a simple change will do."

"Installed on a 4.0L Ford Ranger and noticed 2MPG difference. The true test came when pulling my 17ft bass boat. You could feel that the truck just wanted to pull more. Has a unique sound that sounds great. I would recommend. Took about 30 minutes to install. Very Easy"

"I purchased both the air intake and the ram air scoop
and they both fit really good. I noticed a big change in power and also in gas mileage
and the great thing is its not overly loud like a k&n or something the only time I really hear it is when I mash it.
Great Product!!!"

"The first problem I had was the plastic stock vacuum tube that connects to the intake elbow was too short! Second, the plastic tube that connects to the valve cover on the drivers side does not fit without a piece of rubber hose and clamp. Third, you have to place a piece of 2x4 under the airfilter intake box so the hole lines of with the hole in the inside fenderwell. After spending an additional 12.00 dollars on hoses and clamps the CAI works good. I dont know if Volant does not supply these parts or Auto everything did not place those part in the box."

"I think this intake is overpriced for what you get. One of the hose clamps doesn't fit. Its just to small. The directions are junk. Its just a blueprint. There is nothing to mount the box it just sits thier. If you have a body lift the box sits at a weird angle. the hole for the Intake air tamp sensor is to big for the stock grommet to fit into. It does have a nice growl when you hit the throttle."

"Nissan Dealer installed for $70.
Looks very nice under hood. Slight increase in MPG. (1)
Combined with the Borla dual exhaust system, my TITAN really roars. Sounds like a 4 barrel under hood when pushed, otherwise not too loud at all.
Thank you AutoAnything, savings and service is great."

"I have a 98 dodge ram 3in. suspention lift. 3in. body lift with 35x12.50 x 15s. Before the volant ram air intake system accelerating to pass was not fun. By adding this kit, besides myself others have noticed a differenc in power. Nothing at bottom end but after moving you can feel it.Kit was very easy to assemble. The only problem i had was the 3 in body lift. I had to put a 2.5in spacer on top of the throttle body. Gas milage has not gotten better but the power has."

Installation of Volant Cold Air Intake into 2006 F150 4x4 5.4 L

"From a former GM truck owner and now a real quality Ford truck owner to you,
I HIGHLY recommend it! PROS: The unit made immediate gains on HP and torque! I also changed out my exhaust system as well in the process, which was necessary to get more power results. Now all I need are headers, a performance chip and blower. I would also advise to TIGHTLY mount the cold air box since it does have high vibrations and it can become annoying when accelerating, but I am happy with the power gains. CONS: The manufacturer (Volant) may need to improve on the noise level it creates when accelerating. OTHER OBSERVATIONS: I had the opportunity to face off with other trucks at intersections and it spun my wheels beating the competition as well! All those slogans that parade around saying, "professional grade”, “this is our country”, “does it have guts?” and “the most durable, long lasting truck with 1000 welds" have to watch out for my Ford truck now! Not only is it built with the highest quality and surpasses the competition, it’s turning into the "grave digger"!"

"The throttle feels slightly more responsive. Have not yet been to the pump to test that. Overall fit seems a bit flawed for the price, but a nice kit nonetheless. Aggressive sound at higher RPMS."

"Great product. I gained 2 mpg! I still have the stock exhaust system therefore I could get better mpg. Easy to install. I got the product and it was for a PreRunner/Tacoma which just was weary but installation was a breeze. The screws on the 4Runner doesn't fit so you'll have to measure or fabricate one from a hardware store to fit and keep the box down. Otherwise, it's a great investment and makes the truck sound mean. Sucks hard!! Engine got a lot quieter and runs smoother. Gave it a 4 star due to it not having appropriate screws for the 4Runner"

"I have installed after-market air filters on my vehicles for a number of years. This application on a 2007 5.3L V8 Trailblazer redefined tight fit. The clearance between the bottom of the actual filter and the area where the stock box had been installed was minimal. A part description was supplied, no
directions. The finished product seems to function well.
K&N is much more user friendly. Installation time 40 minutes most due to the bottom clearance issue."
