"We installed two units in two chevy trucks with 5.3 ltrs. We opened the exhaust to 2 1/2" hi-flow dual exhaust. then we installed the cold air boxes. At this point we noticed a slight difference, but when we added the air scoop unit, it really tied the systems together. Noticable increase in H.P. and an added 2-3 mpg on gas. We both Like it !!!"

"The intake system is great. Increased power and the deep sound is amazing. I do however have a knocking sound coming from the system and can't seem to figure out the source of it. It was still a good decision to get it."

"Awesome performance and a cheap way to get more horsepower and fuel milage from your vehicle. It increased throttle response and sounds good under the hood on the Toyota Tacoma. Don't ask the wife, just buy one!"

"My truck seems to have more power and the engine doesn't seem to be straining. Kit was really simple to install. No improvement in MPG, but have only filled the tank once. Great product! My nephew is now bugging me to order him one for a 97 Ford F150."

"New intake instalation was a breeze to install but scoop was a bit harder, not due to instructions but design of truck, tight fit and not much space to work in. Have had on now for about one week and am very pleased. About 1 more mile to the gallon around town and if I can keep my foot out of the pedal as much a 3 mpg at 65 mph. Looking forward to first trip of the year, hoping for at least 1 mpg better while pulling the trailer. Can defintly feel a deferance in power and acceleration, and sound just plain mean when you realy put the pedal down."

"I was impressed with the ease of installation. I can feel the difference in the way the engine runs and sounds. The only problem I found was the filter housing material was too thick for the foam seal and I had to grind it down to make it thin enough to slide the seal on."

"I am very happy with the fit and finish. What disturbs me is that after all the testing that went into this product i had to purchase a larger hose clamp than the one included in the kit. The clamp fits nicely around the filter until you stretch it over the intake tube. You will find after several minutes and busted knuckles that its about and inch to short."

"Upon installing the Volant intake, I notice an immediate boost in throttle response. It depleted when I added bigger tires than factory, but this intake has taken care of the lose of power. It is amazing to hear it at work. I strongly recommend this to all GM truck owners."

"Item didn't fit. Had to cut the Volant Intake tube and use the stock F350 rubber tube attaching it to turbo like stock setup. Instructions SUCKED and was SHORTED bolts to attach the top cover. Intake seems to be working great after these mods, and it kinda sounds like an airplane taking off. Wished I just spent a little extra for the BANKS Intake..."

"Before ordering my Volant cold air intake system, I did alot of research on various brands and chose Volant because each system is custom fit for each vehicle not one fits all. I have a 2006 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 with TRD Exhaust. Volant CIA fits as if it came as an upgrade, got rid of the stock air box which took up alot of space. Noticed improvements instantly at 2.5-5 RPM and sounds as if I had a supercharger under my hood.My brother in-law has a 2007 Toyato Tacoma Prerunner, test drove mine and instantly ordered his through AUTOANYTHING. Cold Air for GM 4.3 Liter
Posted on 04/18/2007 by John C. - 2005 Chevy C/K 1500 (Canadian,OK)
1 of 1 people found the following review helpful.
"I just recently installed a Volant Cold Air Intake on my 2005 Silverado, 4.3 liter, V-6 engine. I just checked the gas milage today, a little over 1 mph better than before and a lot better throttle response, also it doesn't kick into passing gear, on inclines, as often as it used to. You V-6 owners know what I mean. Volant says 1 to 2 mph better, better throttle response and 8-10 hp gain. Not too bad, and your engine gets more and cleaner air, also easy to install. Thanks Auto Anything for a prompt delivery. I will for sure order from you again. John"
