"I have a 2005 Navigator w/ Magnaflow catback. I was told the intake would definitely open up the breathing, add some hp, and the catback would have more of a growl than it already does. Didn't notice much at idle but when you step on the gas - WATCH OUT!! I'm having a hard time keeping my foot out of the pedal after every stop. It sounds like a race car. Can't keep doing that at $3+ for gas. Awesome sound, definite increase in acceleration, easy install. Highly recommend!"

"AutoAnything did awesome on the shipping and delivery. The install of the CAI was a little difficult. I am disappointed with the size of the pipe clamps that were included. They pretty close to the size needed after everything was tightened down which made it VERY difficult to get the air cleaner and the shroud over the pipe on initial installation. I followed the directions provided and found that I had to remove everything so that I could have some leverage to hard press the air cleaner and shroud on the intake tube, then shimmy things around to complete the install. I initally bought the CAI in conjunction with the Superchips mod to help with mileage. The Superchips did exactly what it offered with increasing fuel mileage approximately 1-2Mpg in the 87 Octane mode. Since I put the volant CAI on the engine, my wife likes the sound during hard acceleration and I believe that I lost the mileage improvements I was going for, however, on the last tank of gas I still get 1mpg improvement with both components compared to stock. Thank you AutoAnything for your prompt and professional service."

"2004 F-150 4X4 5.7 3V As for low end power, no change, mid range great, top end about the same.It is not as noisy as a KN system, but you hear it at 70mph under load, I like the design due to it protects the filter from under hood dirt,vs KN.the MAF sensor cut out was not aligned correctly to install the sensor to bolt up,a little filling cured the problem.I tested it on a diag. tester at work and the IAT ,dropped a couple of degrees, which gives a colder intake charge.AS for MPG it started at .5 to 1.2 increase based on 14.5>15.8 adv.I'll take any improvements .Compared to others out there, I'm satisfied because it not as loud under normal driving conditions, and I'll consider it for my next vehicle."

"Bought the intake for my truck, the power gain while noticible, was not as much as i would have liked to see from a part priced as high as this, the overall sound has increased, the engine breathes much better. if you have the money avalible, this is a worthwhile buy."

"I already have a tuner, so that might need to be played with to optimize it for the intake. It is much louder than stock which is good in some eyes and bad in others. I added some sound deader to the inside of the filter box that helped somewhat. The directions for installation are sub par being vague and having some errors. It looks very nice, and has given me a 1/2 mpg gain. I bought it because it was highly reccomended in the F150 forum community, and at a fair price."

"I am very happy with my Volant intake.
AutoAnything shipped my order sooner than I expected. All parts arrived, nothing missing...Only bad thing is the instructions from Volant...I dont think that anyone proofreads things...they should be re-written.Even with the oddly written instructions, it is extremely easy to install. The sound is incredible!"

"More power, incredible acceleration and a definite "tiger in the tank" feeling. Adds a nice sound to the truck too. It's worth every penny.
The instructions were virtually non-existent. A schematic does not equal instructions. It's easy enough to figure out - but that's no excuse. Volant should include installation instructions.
Early reports also suggest a possible increase in gas mileage, but it's too early to say for certain."

"Great Product and Appearance! Great Tuff Sound from under the hood but not too loud or too noisy. Looks great like it came from the Factory (OEM) but better looking. Complements the engine from under the hood (very uniform). It works and looks Great! I could feel the power and feel the quick response time. I bought it mainly for Fuel efficiency but too early to tell but I filled my gas tank up and saw little change in a days driving (20 miles), I'm not a Lead Foot by any means and secondarily for the extra power when I need to tow. Highly recommend the Volant Cold Air Intake System. It's a little more than most Intake Systems but the price is well worth it. Then, I also bought 1 for my wife's 06 Infinity Q56 and she can tell the quick response time also (she got scared the first time she drove her Q56 after the install). I've recommended to all my friends and family and to also order it from AutoAnything.com for it and for their auto needs. The Volant Cold Air Intake System not only functions like it says but it has an awesome appearance. I also recommend for people to get the JBA cat4ward Headers if you have a little extra moola (money) and that can find someone to weld it in place and/or weld flanges on them. On a side note: The people from AutoAnything.com are awesome too! I bought the wrong Intake System for my Tacoma (brain freeze, it was not leagal in California and it states that on the AutoAnything Website, my bad!) and it was almost completely hassle free returning it (nothing is) but they gave me step by step instructions on how to return it and I was happy with the results. Thanks AutoAnything.com. I will definitely Puschase from you guys first before any other Website (unless you guys don't carry what I need). Lata! From the Crazy Guamanian."

"The Volant Air Intake System is a great modification to my Frontier. It is visually more pleasing than stock, gives the truck a "meaner" growl without being obnoxious, and recent calculations at the pump showed that I had gotten the extra mile per gallon they advertised. My only issue is the installation. The instructions are far from detailed, and I'm not happy that no screws were provided to secure the airbox to the truck (although the holes are there). But overall, great product!"

"I installed my new intake about 3 weeks ago. I did not notice any big gains in power or milage, so I thought give it some time before reviewing it. I just took a trip and I got 19 mpg. That is better than before, slightly but every bit helps these days. The way my vehivle shifts while on cruise is also way better. I also think there was a bit more power though nothing great. The only negative about the intake is that from 3500 to 4200 rpm it is loud, and not in a good way as others have said. It is slightly anoying but it obviously didn't lower my review too much. Overall I am happy with my purchase."
