"The Volant intake provides increased throttle response and seems to show an increase in MPG, though I haven't had installed long enough to really crunch the numbers. Installation is 30 minutes with basic hand tools. An excellent product that looks great and will pay for itself over time. AMG...Bristow, VA"

"I installed this intake in about an hour. The Installation was very easy. Before I installed it I was getting about 10 MPGs now I am getting 12. I can really tell there is some horsepower gains. Pulling hills and passing is a breeze. Oh yeah it sounds awesome!"

"Overall easy installation. It took about 30 minutes to install. thought it would have a meaner sound to it not much of a difference in sound except when gunning it but even then not impressing but it looks great and performs well with my superchip and dual exhaust"

"amazing product! it took some time to install. but its worth it! i feel a horsepower gain along with a deeper exhaust tone from my flowmaster 40 series! especially sounds good when u stomp the loud pedal! Great job Volant!"

"I installed the system in about an hour. At first I did not notice mush difference in performance but after a few days I took a 120 mile trip an noticed that the motor seemed to rev a little quicker and did not downshift as much going up the hills. The only downside is it is very noisey at a certain rpm when the motor is under load."

"Excellent Intake! A noticeable increase in HP and Torque. I'm not sure on gas mileage yet. I also added the ram air attachment. Everything fit but it's exact, so it took a little work to get everything in place correctly. I'm very happy with the intake, all of the compontents were top quality. also a nice throaty sound!"

"I installed the Volant cold air intake in my 2004 Chevy Silverado 2500 with the 6.0 My gas mileage before the change was bad. around 12 mpg. since inatalling the kit my milage has inccreased by 3 mpg. worth every penny"

"Ease of installation was not as easy as claimed on web. Took about 1.5-2 hrs to install only because the enclosed directions were pretty bad. But now it is in it is doing its job."

"Overall Good product. Had to modify my fan shroud because I have a throttle body spacer. The holes to mount the air box where not lined up correctly so had to modify that as well. Noticed small increse in MPG but nothing on the 1/4 mile."

"I bought this for my 2009 toyota tundra, the sales rep told me that this would probably be a good fit. This was not an exact fit. The hole for the intake did not line up with the hole in my fender well. I would wait for the 2009 version to come out if you wanna buy this for your 2009 tundra."

"It was a very tight fit but so far this has been a great investment for my truck. My throttle response is better and I noticed some gains in horsepower. I highly recommend Volant if you are in the market for a col air intake."

Was hoping for boost in MPG

"First, Auto Anything was great! Friendly people who know their stuff. I will definately purchase from them again. The Volant CAI I bought was great too. I was hoping for a boost in MPG. After 3-4 tank fulls of gas, the dashboad computer says that I've gone from an average of 13.4 MPG to 14.1 MPG. While I have not taken a long trip yet to test highway mileage, I suspect the MPG improvement will be more like a full mile to the gallon. According to Volant, HP and torque gains are 16 and 18. I can tell that the truck drives better. The throttle seems more responsive. It was not that loud either. I drive clients around in my truck. Had it been too loud, it could have caused a problem. Volant told me that it would be quieter than other brands because the air filter is enclosed in a box. I am happy with the noise level, or lack there of. Installation was easy - took a little time and fit like a glove. Volant forgot one of the rubber hoses. So, make sure you check the parts list before you go to install it. Volant provided a tech support number on the included instructions. A real person answered the phone - and the part was in the mail that day! Other remaks mention problems with the gasket for the mass-flow air sensor - I suspect some of those problems were because the factory gasket (it's like an o ring) had not been removed. I amost had similar problems until the factory gasket was removed. Then, everything fit together like it was meant to. By the way, it looks great when you pop the hood!"

"extremely simple to install, required only simple hand tools and self-explanatory installation. The box itself works well, notice a boost in power especially around 2500 and up RPMs. Overall truck seems to ride easier when cruising."

"Like the looks of the Volant very much. No instructions in the box. The install instructions off of the website seemed to leave some info out. Had to go back and redo some steps. Total install time was about 1 hr. Have used about a tank and a half of gas since install and mileage seems to have improved slightly (heard it take about 2 tanks for computer to adjust). Sound did not change, unless you put your foot into it. Good stuff!"

"it installed very easy. i noticed a gain of 3. mpg for the first week and now i only see a gain of .2. not happy with that. most of the extra power you get is in 2nd gear. overall im not impressed with the mpg. but i am with the horse power"
