"The installation of the CAI was really easy and took only about 20min or so. Over all power difference is noticeably different in the butt dyno. My only problem is that it did not come with the pad that goes under the box between the fender. It is very noisy under WOT and causes some vibration i believe due to having the pad under the box. Also i wish the box was a little thicker making it stronger.
But the power gains are worth it some have shown with the volant on a titan to have 10 horsepower gains havent had time to get to a dyno."

"Purchased a K&N CAI to install in my 99 RAM. Found K&N kit did not include all attachment hardware, filter box had to be built, instructions written for older model truck and poorly illustrated. Returned for Volant with air scoop. 30 min install. Streight forward.Fits like glove."

"Delivery was slow (more a problem with UPS then Autoanything), instructions were lacking to say the least but the install is simple enough to figure out. *Make sure you have your air mass sensor in correctly*... easy thing to mess up and the "instructions" don't remind you of this.
Don't judge it by it's performance the first day or two. Allow time for the onboard computer to adapt. Sounds great during acceleration, but gets obnoxious when hitting the high RPM's. The performance is there... the gas mileage is hard to tell... maybe +1 mpg. Get rid of that nasty back pressure with a new exhaust and the two will work great at raising those mpg's.
All in all i would buy it again."

"This thing works! It has improved my gas mileage considerably. I love the 'throaty' sound my exhaust makes. I love that it has a complete box around the filter with a lid. I was leary about other intakes that used the hood of the vehicle as the lid. Now when I get out in the deep stuff I don't have to worry about my fan kicking up water onto my filter.

Volant Cold Air Intake for 2007 Toyota Tundra 5.7 ltr

"It sounds great and gives a little more power. Have not seen a difference in gas mileage. The instalation was not 100% accurate but easy to figure out what was required to do. One of the bolt holes do not line up so you will have to drill a whole in the wheel well. Not a problem though. It will not affect anything. Over all, I am very please with it. But if you get one, I do recommend adding some type of performace muffler. I believe they will work better together then just the cold air intake alone."

"The installation went very easily (15 minutes), the materials & workmanship is quite good making a precise fit. There is a distinct throttle snap difference, there is an increase in throttle body noise (not objectionable), there is an improvement in mileage. So far, a great bolt-on! Tony in Albq."

"Installation of the Volant Cold Air intake on my 2007 Tundra was fairly intuitive. You basically take off the old and install the new in the same location. I like the sound it makes when accelerating or under load. It lets me know what the engine is doing. I feel there is more power, but that is just my opinion. My milage after one tank of gas is up by about 7%, which is an unexpected surprise. Could be the change to summer fuel, warmer temps, or my recent "grandpa" driving to conserve fuel. Overall I think this was a good investment."

"I installed this on my 07 Xterra. The performance increase was noticeable, and gas mileage improved noticeably as well. The install was not easy. First, the airbox intruded deeply into the area of the horn, and the horn wires has to be spliced and the horn relocated. Second, the mounting holes in the airbox did not quite line up with the mounting points on the inner fender. I had to wrestle the dog out of the airbox for more than an hour before I got everything threading in properly. Thirdly, the MAF mount threads did not match the factory ones and no new ones were included, I had to run out and buy screws that fit. Great product, but be prepared for some work."

"I couldn't ask for more. I installed this on my 5.3L Silverado. After my performance exhaust, I went from about 350 miles to the tank to about 400. After the volant, I reset the computer and drove it hard in an attempt to break it in. So after flooring it almost every time i drove ( =D !! ) I still got a tiny bit more gas mileage. I can't wait to see what it's like under normal driving. AND the performance is awesome! I can burn rubber in the low-end AND the high-end now. I was amazed when I heard those tires chirp twice. The instructions are vague, but my girlfriend and I were able to install it in 2 or 3 hours. In short: better throttle response, gas mileage and performance."

"This things sounds and looks great on my Xterra. I would say its a little on the pricy side for what you get, but I think this is the best CAI out there. It has a fully enclosed box, so no hot air from the engine compartment gets in. It looks really good, and for the most part is well made. The air filter is huge and looks nice sitting in the box. Now to the negatives. The directions leave something to be desired. If you dont know what your doing, you will get lost and not be able to get it installed correctly. They should be more detailed. Also the part were my air temp sensor plugs into the box, is not very secure and looks like it could fall out if you go over a big bump, leaving me to add a rubber o-ring on the inside to secure it better. Overall great item, matched with a new muffler and your good to go!"

"The volant cold air intake is one of the best things that I have put on my 2006 300c. I noticed a big improvement in performance and a 2 mile per gallon milage increase. The exhaust has a very nice tone now and it did not make the exhaust louder. Over all a very good product. I have recomened it to my friends."

"The package came with no instructions (but was very easy to install). We did call customer support to see if there were any instructions and I am still waiting on a call back two weeks.
It took about 45 minutes to install, but I spent about 30 minutes tyring to get the air sensor out of the old hose. I finally just the tube.
It appears to have better pickup in the upper RPM's when I really need it on the highway. Gas milage is about 1 MPG."
