Volant intake, 1999 Toyota 3.4 v6

"After installing the Volant Cold Air intake into my 1999 Toyota 4runner 3.4 leiter V6, I have been truly pleased. Acceleration has greatly increased while fuel economy has also noticably improved. Engine sound now seems somewhat deeper, throater but not intrusive. I highly reccomend."

More power no gas

"The Volant air intake system is well made and easy to install, though the directions could be a little better. You need to remove the rubber boot from the air mass sensor to slide it through the air box as well as the one from the throttle body side as they mentioned. It also helps to use some gasga-cinch otherwise known as {naked lady} to assist in holding the foam gaskets in place when installing the mass air flow sensor and filter adapter. I already had a high flow muffler and dual exhaust to free up the exhaust side on my 2003 silverado so I thought I would let her breath a little better as well. There is a noticable amount of horsepower and torque difference. I drove my truck on a four hundred mile (mostly freeway) trip that I have taken numerous times in the past three months with no noticable gas mileage improvement. Oh but what the heck its all about more power."

"IT WAS PRETTY EASY INSTALL. I THINK THERE SHOULD BE SOME INSTRUCTIONS,NOT JUST A SCHEMATIC.IT LOOKS GOOD AND SOUNDS GREAT.I ORDERED IT LATE WEDNESDAY NITE,IT ARRIVED ON FRIDAY. AUTOANYTHING HAD THE BEST PRICE."

High quality, low gain

"It's not exactly bolt on for the 2005 Trailblazer, an additional 90 degree elbow hose is needed. I did notice a hissing noise at idle only when I was in front of the car, and I definitely noticed a gain in power. No real gain in mpg. Maybe 1/2 mpg but that's iffy."

"I am pleased with the intake it added a growl to my truck upon accelleration and a noticable gain in horsepower.the mpg are still out as I tend to drive a little more foot heavy.On the highway I seemed to get about.5 TO 1 gallon per mile more. The install was pretty straight forward but the directions were weak.It took about 30 minutes to install.There is a second ram intake scoop you can buy for an additional pricey sum.It isn`t clear that this scoop is an accessory at an additional price.Several of my friends have the k&n but the volant cold air is far superior in quality and looks under the hood."

"I have a 2005 Nissan Titan. There is so many intake systems out there and I chose the Volant cause it is the best design. The reason it is the best design is because: Before I did any modification.. I got caught in a bad flooding downpour. I had to drive through a flooded road that was like a river. IT was deeper then I ever thought and water was at hood level and coming up on the hood but I kept going and was waiitng for my engine to seize, but I made it through. I opened my hood when I got clear, and the engine was dirty and the only thing that saved the engine was the fact that the factory airbox is a sealed unit and takes air from the fender. The Volant is the same design. If I had the other intakes with the open filter design, it would of injested water and ruined my engine for sure. The volant is awesome with power and makes a big difference you can feel. Way to go Volant!!!"

"Install literaly took less than 30 minutes. Huge diiference performace above 2,200 rpm's. Really woke my truck up, 05 Silverado 5.3 engine. Would definetly rec product."

"Easy to install. Perfect fit. Vehicle feels quicker. Accelerating onto and passing on the highway is much better than stock intake. At around 2000rpm you hear a noticable growl. Have not installed an aftermarket exhaust yet, but I expect the intake system to operate even better with it!"

Mediocre Air Intake

"The volant air intake performs well once it is in the truck; but putting it in was another story. The directions are nothing more than a vague schematic, which left a lot of blanks for you to fill in. They don't tell you that you need your old bolts to put the new air box in, and that the pre-drilled holes in the box don't match up with the nut-plates on the body of my truck; that left me to find my own nuts from somewhere. Those were only a few of my problems with the intake system. Which for the price you pay for the product, shouldn't even be a problem! All in all I was very disappointed."

"The intake was very easy to install. It only took about 30 min. The one thing it doesn't state, is where the additional gasket goes. It gets put into place on the air filter box which presses against the fenderwell. Otherwise, I was able to feel a boost in the low end once I put it on. The only thing left to do is buy a programmer so I can really let the engine breathe. Otherwise, every little addition helps."

Excellent Cold Air Intake

"(2001 f-150 supercrew 4.6L) I noticed off the line acceleration right away. My 0-60 time went from an 11.1 to an 10.2 with only the Intake. Highway acceleration is unbelievably faster than it use to be. Wonderful purchase, definitly buy this Intake."
