"This kit was easy to install despite the lack of installation instructions. The Vortec V8 is finally unleashed. You can hear the engine roar like it was supposed to. Quality and price are unmatched. Autoanything will always be my stop for aftermarket parts. AAAA+++++++"

"This was a replacement of the same intake I put on the durango 6 years ago, Very pleased with it's performance. The old one's sleave to the intake itself dry rotted after 6 years,it was made of hard rubber. the new system has a urathane style sleave which seems to have fixed that issue. The main tube on the new one had an additional hole near the intake end that is not needed, so I reused the old tube The bottom mounting screw was also too long for the shallow threading, so I used the old one which worked fine. All in all a very good product for the Price."

"It is a great product. Improved gas mileage and a little more horsepower. Installation was easy except for a hood sensor that had to be removed and installed elsewhere. I appreciate the closed box intake over open since I have used the open before and the filter stays alot cleaner with the Volant."

"Other reviews I had read warned of no installation instructions, only a parts list, so I downloaded and used the Volant installation instructions from Cadillacowners.com. Excellent write up there. Despite the description, I found the intake to be a struggle to install. A tip I will give is that all clamps should be put on and snugged up last. The tolerances are very tight and you need to be very careful installing everything to make sure you don't scar or damage the individual Volant components. Once everything is on, the finished product looks beautiful and performs well. I would do it again anytime, but I highly recommend downloading the installation tips first and following the suggestions to make the installation go a lot smoother. Overall, I would rate the experience an 8 out of 10."

"I put this in my wife's Dodge 2500 Cummins work truck to try to help increase mileage. When I asked if she noticed a difference in power, she said she wasn't sure - it "did seem a little happier." So, since I never drive the thing I can't report on that first hand. It does look good, though. It's the only shiny thing under the hood. I would have given it a higher rating, but I had a difficult time making it fit. The air box just wouldn't sit down far enough, and I don't know why. It felt like it was hitting something, but I couldn't tell what because the only things there are an A/C line and the pipe to the intercooler. The result was there is only one bolt holding the air box in place, but it seems secure enough."

"Put this on my stock F150, throttle is much more sensitive now and you notice some increased power. The sound is also awesome. Under normal driving you dont hear it, but if you punch it, the intake makes your truck sound like a muscle car MPG's has been about the same but I have my foot in it everywhere I go. Also put the ram air scoop in, this piece shines when you are on the highway wanting to pass some one. However, im getting a custom tune because the MPG's has actually started decreasing, i believe this is due to the truck running lean...Once I get the tune, I am sure I will be very happy with my purchase. Autoanything customer service was amazing! Thanks rod. Installation instructions are wrong. I need to write them and send them in to Volant."

"This intake is not cheap, although AutoAnything.com had the best price that I could find. It is a big, well-built intake. Installation was easy, but the directions that come with the intake are poor. My truck is still "adjusting" itself to the intake after having the battery disconnected, but it does seem a bit peppier and sounds great. The sound isn't annoying or overwhelming, but a pleasant reminder of what is under the hood."

"Just installed my Volant CAI on my 2008.5 Titan KC Pro 4X this weekend. 1) Looks Great! 2)Sounds very cool. 3) Installation time just ok,because their instructions were not very good it was more of a parts list than instructions. but none the less any shadetree mechanic can do this. 4) Foam pad missing from box, I assume this item was to dampen the vibrations that some have talked about no big deal I had a roll of 3/4w x 1/2 weather stripping foam laying around. I just stuck it where I felt the box to fenderwell contact might be a problem,worked fine. 5)Performance and mileage undetermined at this time truck has 1200 miles and I can't keep my foot out of it!!! 6) 1 fitment point issue maybe unique to the 08 theres a bracket on the master cylinder that has a mounting point for the stock airbox that I found had to take a grinder to and grind off maybe a 1/4" to 3/8" off, here again no big deal just something to be aware of. Overall I think its Great and Auto Anythings service was great too, Ordering and shipping were Lightning Fast. Thanks Neil in SoCal"

"Installation was easy enough, although the instructions are WEAK, even the one's found at the OEM. Needed to plug the extra mount hole and clean up the vacuum fitting. Looks great under the hood. Great horsepower gain and throttle response is awesome even with stock pipes. Taking it easy on the gas the computer showed 1/2 mpg increase on average. Not too loud at interstate speed, good sound off the line. If you're looking for added HP for a 5.4L F-150 this one is it."

"I purchased the Volant PowerCore CAI. The only thing that frustrated me was Volant didn't ship instructions in the box. It wasn't a big deal because I've installed several of these on various vehicles but if this is your first time I could see it being a problem if you're in your buddies garage w/no internet! Other than that the unit itself is great it made my truck breathe better, sound better, and it feels like it pulls a little harder while accelerating. It has met all expectations."

"2003 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab 4.7, installed the Volant Powercore intake system on my truck...i'm impressed with the quality of this product.. it replaced a AEM Bruteforce intake that didn't have a airbox to protect the filter. the AEM was a decent product but was exposed to rain water coming into the fender well area. it started to mold the filter that was noticable when running the A.C. the Volant system solved that problem and gave me better performance... i would highly recommend the Volant PowerCore system... the instuctions from Volant weren't the best, but the overall value for the product is great...thanks autoanything and volant for this product.. dc atlanta ga."
