Description

Increase performance up to 18 horsepower, add 40 lbs of torque and even save gas mileage with the Volant Cold Air Intake System! The rocket scientists at Volant have truly outdone themselves with this one.

The Hi-Flow Velocity Air Box breathes in oodles of performance-enhancing air via the massive air duct. Many Volant Cold Air Intakes also include an enclosed air box that takes power and efficiency higher. Some drivers even report an increase in gas mileage by 1 to 2 miles per gallon. What's more, it can take less than an hour using standard household tools to replace the old, suffocating factory air box.

Best yet, Volant gives most vehicles a performance filter choice: the original high-performance cotton-gauze filter with cleaning intervals of 35,000-50,000 miles, or the all-new oil-free PowerCore air filter, requiring maintenance after a whopping 100,000 miles.

Chevy Silverado 4.3L V6

"One of my buddies had one put into his truck and swore that it was a really good intake for trucks. I saw it and i had to have it because of the closed box, it made my engine look so much better!! When i press the gas i fly. I also have a Flowmaster 40 exhuast. Great power added, and the gas has been saved, about 1-3 MPG depending how I drive."

Looks Cool, More Power, No Gas Savings

Posted on 11/17/2007 by Shannon S. - 2007 Toyota Tundra (Winter Haven,FL)

2 of 3 people found the following review helpful.

"This product, in my opinion, is Good but not Great. If you want to save money, go with a cheaper brand. I bought it because they said it would boost power and save gas. It doesn't save me any gas at all. Combined with a dual Flowmaster exhaust, it does boost power."

Not Perfect

Posted on 11/14/2007 by Barry H. - 2008 Chevy Tahoe (Gilbert,AZ)

"I purchased a Volant air intake for my Tahoe and a K&N for my son's Frontier. The K&N fit better and had much better instalation instructions. The Volant looks better under the hood. If I had to do it again I think I would go wit the K&N."

2007 5.7l Tundra Volant Intake

Posted on 11/09/2007 by Mario R. - 2007 Toyota Tundra (Harahan,LA)

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful.

"The install was super easy, even for a beginner. Sound is awesome. Very stock-like while cruising but let's you know it's there at WOT which is exaclty what I wanted. Has been installed for 300 miles or so. This intake alone should shave .1-.2 off your 1/4 mile time and raise your trap speed 1 mph. I would definitely recommend this product especially for the price here at Auto Anything. No one can beat it."

Posted on 11/02/2007 by Aaron J. F. - 2006 Chevy Truck 2500 (Menifee,CA)

"Very easy to install. Did not even need to use diagrams that I had found on back of instructions after it was already installed. Can feel the better response but have not seen an increase in Gas mileage. Towing you can really feel the difference in HP. Overall would purchase reccomend it to anyone."

05 2.7L Tacoma volant intake

Posted on 11/02/2007 by Colin B. - 2005 Toyota Tacoma (Temecula,CA)

"I was impressed by the initial quality of the volant intake. However, the directions were not clear, just a picture of the system, and i actually had to cut the intake tube because it was too long. I never brought the issue up with volant. I have noticed a difference in overall power especially in the top end. It sounds really good too. I would recomend replacing the cotton/oil filter with an amsoil nanofiber induction filter #3070 which will filter much, much better and not threaten the MAF sensor. Hope this helped!"

Posted on 10/31/2007 by Patrick S. - 2007 Chevy Avalanche (Lexington,KY)

"I think it’s 100% better than stock air filter/intake. Major difference on performance of engine. With my friend Bruce we were done with the easy installation in about 15 minutes. I like the product so much on my 2007 Avalanche, I plan on purchasing another Volant cold air intake for my other vehicle. Great sound under the hood!"

volant cold air intake

Posted on 10/26/2007 by Kenneth S. (Dallas,GA)

"Install was a bit tough, but was well worth it. Looks better than any CDI on the market and sounds even better. I wasn't concerned that this would miracously increase HP or my MPG, sound was my main concern. I hit a home run with this one...Not even noticeable until you ask for it, then it comes alive..with an impressive deep sound..KEN"

Volant cold air review for 2002 Ford Explorer

Posted on 10/22/2007 by Brandon H. - 2002 Ford Explorer (Edmond,OK)

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful.

"Looks great installed and you can definately feel the difference. I would recommend it. The downside (why 4 stars instead of 5) is no directions were included and the sleeves were so tight I had to heat them with a heat gun to stretch them to go over the intake tube. The elbow fitting was too small and didn't fit the hose. All in all it took a lot longer than it should have, but it does look sweet when finished."
