"The air intake was pretty simple to install. I was very surprised at the drivability difference. Acceleration is much smoother and much more responsive. I am getting better fuel economy when I can keep my foot out of the gas. I also love the throaty sound the Volant has versus the stock intake."

"pros: quick install, looks good,throttle response improved cons: no ram air scoop 1/4'' flat washers seem to small at the connection to throttle body. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN!! hardware will go through intake. overall satisfied with purchase."

"I think the Volant cold air intake was the best looking intake I saw. It looks like it is made for my 2000 Chevy Silverado. It makes my exhaust sound a little better. I was hoping for a cooler sound of the air sucking in and exhaling out when you turn it off. I really wanted it to get better gas mileage. That remains to be seen. It was easy to assemble."

"This CAI is a good value. would recommend this product any time. It took me less then thirty min to instale. And the power increaces was noticeable as soon as I step on the gas. the gas savings is about just about 1-2 miles a gallon... great product"

"The system looks great and there is a definate power increase. On the installation however, the intake tube was made for an 04 and not the 06 4.7L setup so I had to do some slight fabricating to get it to work."

"LOVE THE THE VOLANT COLD AIR INTAKE! DROVE FOR 500 MILES WITH IT AND NOTICED AN INCREASED 2-3MPG...BETTER ON THE HIGHWAY BUT GREAT ALL AROUND...WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYTHING ELSE BUT THE ENCLOSED VOLANT COLD AIR INTAKE!"

"Really happy with my purchase, I installed this on my 2004 Cadillac CTS 3.6 and it does seem to have more power, it seems quicker off the pedal and it has a nice growl, not loud but it does growl. The installation took about an hour, the nut to screw the filter box to the body was missing so I needed to use a different bolt and nut. Overall I am very satisfied."

"The CAI took about an hour to put in. I reset the computer in my 08 Tundra so I do not know how much/or if the gas mileage has increased. I did immediately notice an increase in both performance and engine rumble when I accelerate. So far it is good but the gas mileage factor will truly determine the worth of the CAI."

"Easy bolt on power! Installation instructions are poor, fortunatly it became rather obvious how the unit was to be installed, after removing the stock intake. Not sure of any MPG increase, too early to tell."

"I purchased the Volant Cold Air Intake for my 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 to boost performance and gas mileage. It helped me with both. When I need the extra horsepower it provides, it's there and I have seen a 3-4 mpg increase when I am not riding hard on the throttle. Installation was simple and took me and my 13 year old son about 25 minutes to put it in."

"The intake was very easy to install, and my wife's new suburban sounds like there is a camero under the hood when you get on the gas. .75 overall fuel mileageper gal. savings so far. Over all pleased with the product can't wait to pull my 30' ft. camper and put it to the real test. thanks."

"Volant cold air intake looks great on my car.The noise level is minor, the response is super.The instruction sheet could have been a little more explainable, but considering all the other applacations,I can understand why.I would highly recommend this product to anyone.I hope to maybe oneday install the cold air intake on my dodge ram. "Ordered two units (04 & 06 Dodges). The units do add to the response of the truck. Have not had long enought to notice MPGs. The hardware for the 04 Dodge does not work. I called Volant and they refered me to Autoanything. Autoanything was very curtious and said they would respond in a couple of days. A week later and no word. The mounting clips do not provide the correct height for the air box. The 06 has a spacer (@ 1") that allows the tube to line up with the air box."

"I purchased the volant system to save money on replacement air filter cost, i believe it will pay for itself in that area. I have not seen any fuel milage benifits yet. Instalation was easy, although the holes on the box did not quite match with the intake tube by half a centimeter a quick drill hole remedied that."

"The installation could have been easier but the filter to the intake was kind of a pain cuz it kept slipping out while I tightened the clamp. I added all the parts and it still rattles when I hit the gas, and oh man the gas my mileage did not improve at all kind of bummed about that! But it did add the horse power I was looking for.."

"I couldn't find bolts long enough to mount the part on top of the throttle body. It's because I have a throttle body spacer. Bolts that long are hard to find. So it's just zip tied on right now. Other than that, install was a breeze. I really like the CAI"

"The Volant Cold Air Intake was better than I expected. It was easy to install and everything fit as the instructions described. Also I was surprised at how quiet it was. I cannot tell much difference in the sound of the OE system and the Volant at normal accelleration and while cruising. The only time it is louder is during hard accelleration. I think the Volant is a real good and high quality system."

"I don't know about the mpg gain yet but it did smooth out a "dead spot" this truck had when taking off. The sound it makes when you hit it was a nice surprise. I did have 2 problems and 1 issue. 1) no instructions at all came with the intake.(got it from your website) 2) the clamp the attaches the intake pipe to the manifold , was too small. You supply 3 large vlamps in your package, all the same size but that one was about an inch or more shy. issue: I called your tech support when I saw I had no instructions, left a message but never got a return call. Same as when I recently sent an email questioning the diffrence between 2 exhausts you make and again, no response."

"It was not as easy as the AirAid or K&N. A lot of assembly and disassembly due to poor instructions, no sense of order. Very good quality though. Has a large paper element that my be expensive to replace but is guaranteed for 100,000 miles. It is not a rechargeable filter like others. Its shape will make it hard to find a rechargeable filter. Must disassemble system to change filter. Once filter is off not much clearance to put back on. Could feel the HP increase with a tune. Sounds good too."

"Installed in an 05 Xterra, I couldn't be happier. Better gas mileage when I want it, or more power when I want that. At least in the Xterra's, these things can sound pretty meaty and loud, and I love it."
