Description

Increase performance up to 18 horsepower, add 40 lbs of torque and even save gas mileage with the Volant Cold Air Intake System! The rocket scientists at Volant have truly outdone themselves with this one.

The Hi-Flow Velocity Air Box breathes in oodles of performance-enhancing air via the massive air duct. Many Volant Cold Air Intakes also include an enclosed air box that takes power and efficiency higher. Some drivers even report an increase in gas mileage by 1 to 2 miles per gallon. What's more, it can take less than an hour using standard household tools to replace the old, suffocating factory air box.

Best yet, Volant gives most vehicles a performance filter choice: the original high-performance cotton-gauze filter with cleaning intervals of 35,000-50,000 miles, or the all-new oil-free PowerCore air filter, requiring maintenance after a whopping 100,000 miles.

"Excellent product. I have other vehicles with K&N systems but wanted a sealed box for my Duramax. Ordered this plus the ram air scoop. Thought my install would never look as good as the pictures. Big surprise, looks perfect. Also, thought it would be nice if it came with the special bit for the airflow sensor. Looked in the bag with the other parts, there it was! These people don't just sell you something, someone there has actually installed them and took care of the install surprises."

"I can tell a nice difference with throttle response in my Ranger and the last tank of fuel I picked up a few MPG. Made my exhaust sound a little better, and the you can hear the air rushing through the filter. Great price. So far so good!. Kept a clean look under the hood with the tube and box enclosure."

"Upon arrival I installed the Air intake. The instructions were easy to follow. I had a friend read off the steps to insure that everything was done correctly. After installation I test drove the truck. There was a small improvement in throttle response. The air intake is only loud when accelerating quickly. I have also had an increase in gas mileage. My gas mileage went from 14.5 to about 15.5. It's not a great increase but it's something."

"instalation was simple took longer to find correct size nut driver in tool box. did not notice any performance difference. did not notice any increase in fuel economy. had 14.4 mpg before and 14.4 after. truck also has duel outlet magnaflow muffler. before this truck i had 99 tahoe with dual in dual out flowmaster and then installed k&n intake kit. noticed performance gain 1st time driven after install of k&n kit and you could here it suck in the air that sounds good, noticed slight mpg gain with k&n. wish i got k&n for this truck. even if it had same performance as volant at least you could here it suck air.but i got a better price on volant.was satisfied with autoanythig."

"Install went fairly well. Looks good, sounds like the engine is definitely getting more air. Mainly installed based on the lesser sound because of being totally enclosed. Had a K & N installed on a Chevy Avalanche, and it was a bit too loud, because it was open. Another reason for purchasing was the idea of not having to change or clean and oil the filter for 100,00 miles. Wouldn't recommend changing from factory intake if increase in mileage is what you're looking for, because can't tell a huge increase. I did get a super deal on it from AutoAnything."
