Description

Increase performance up to 18 horsepower, add 40 lbs of torque and even save gas mileage with the Volant Cold Air Intake System! The rocket scientists at Volant have truly outdone themselves with this one.

The Hi-Flow Velocity Air Box breathes in oodles of performance-enhancing air via the massive air duct. Many Volant Cold Air Intakes also include an enclosed air box that takes power and efficiency higher. Some drivers even report an increase in gas mileage by 1 to 2 miles per gallon. What's more, it can take less than an hour using standard household tools to replace the old, suffocating factory air box.

Best yet, Volant gives most vehicles a performance filter choice: the original high-performance cotton-gauze filter with cleaning intervals of 35,000-50,000 miles, or the all-new oil-free PowerCore air filter, requiring maintenance after a whopping 100,000 miles.

"The system was very easy to install. Noticed a slight improvement in lower RPMs but can really feel the difference when you step on it. I am still not sure about an improvement in MPG, maybe .5 to 1 MPG better. Sounds good when you step on it but as quiet as stock when cruising down the freeway."

"My power increased right away. I was barely touching the pedel and could already tell a big difference. My highway miles have increased to about 2-3mpg. I'm still on the fence about city driving. It's hard to tell with city driving. overall i think its a great product."

"My truck has 15000 miles on it. I run 285/55 R 20 BF Goodrich all terrains. With cruise set @ 70 before CAI I got 20.4 MPG. After adding the Volant CAI & The Throttle body spacer I now get 24.3 MPG at same speed. I run 87 octane. Truck also has a noticeable increase in power. There is no doubt these to small upgrades helped with power and MPG's. Only took about 2 hours to install."

"The torque increase is evident. Not sure about fuel economy yet, though. I ran 0-60's before and after using FlashPaq as the timer. Showed a slight decrease in the average times - a couple of tenths. Product is easy to install on the RAM. Took about 1/2 hour. Like the way it sounds, a little extra air noise, but not too loud....just right for a truck! I think I'm going to like this."

"I'm pleased with this item, I haven't been anywere yet, to see if it makes a defferance with millage, but it sounds better, and the performance feels better. I'm planning to put it on the road in the middle of the month to see if the gas millage gets better."

"Iwas looking for more power and performance. For the money i didn't get it...My milage went down 2mpg and the only better performance i got was when hauling the horse trailer...Hauling nothing at all I get 2mpg less than with my stock air filter...not happy with the cold air intake."

"Doesn't seal tight to the fender on a 2007 Tundra 5.7L. Engineers culd have worked with the stock equipment to get a better fit. I think this CAI was meant for another vehicle but was close enough for a Tundra. Looks impressive but no one will ever see it under my hood. Seems to have great airflow."
