The rocket scientists at Volant have outdone themselves with this one. The Volant Cold Air Intake System lets your engine breathe huge gulps of cool, power-producing air for a massive performance boost. Increases of up to 18 horsepower, 40 ft/lbs of torque and even bolstered MPG are yours with Volant.
The Hi-Flow Velocity Air Box breathes in oodles of performance-enhancing air via the massive air duct. Many Volant Cold Air Intakes also include an enclosed air box that takes power and efficiency higher. Some drivers even report an increase in gas mileage by 1 to 2 miles per gallon. What's more, it can take less than an hour using standard household tools to replace the old, suffocating factory air box.
Best yet, Volant gives most vehicles a performance filter choice: the original high-performance cotton-gauze filter with cleaning intervals of 35,000-50,000 miles, or the oil-free PowerCore® air filter, requiring maintenance after a whopping 100,000 miles.
Thanks to the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act: US Code – Title 15, Chapter 50, Sections 2301-2312, your vehicle’s factory warranty is protected by law when you add aftermarket parts. Details

The installation was not difficult. It is basically knowledge and common sense where it goes (yes, it comes with instruction). I have install the air filter with a scoop. it totally does improve the mileage, if you drive normal not press the gas and all of sudden you start pressing the braking. This COLD AIR INTAKE OF VOLANT is meant for truck/Suv.

well first off, great quailty and works smoothly once all done. so the directions was ok. turned out i had to cut 1 or 2 inches off the air duct coupler to the air box, because it was too long and also had to cut off some rubber sleeve the long one. it was 6 inches long.way too long. but the biggest part i had was the throttle body cover.after some time to get it to seal up without any leaks. works like charm though. i felt the difference in the truck once i hammered down. over all love it!!

cold air intake was my most recent upgrade (already accomplished AirDod, FluidAmpr, SuperChips , 4" mandrel exhaust) last add was the cool air intake , i looked hard before choosing the Volant ( it came down to the Volant or the Banks ) i really liked the 2nd air inlet opening on the Volant . delivery was timely , included all parts . took my time install'g and it took about 1 hr. engine bay a lil louder , hear turbo more , breaths good, more power, highway cruising effortless

Volant really makes the best intakes out there for gas Rams. I have a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 4.7L. It has a Superchip, and a free flow exhaust. I bough my intake with the Powercore filter. The intake isn't loud which I like. I saw a noticeable difference in power maybe 10 hp/ 20 Tq. It complements my Superchip very well. Volant also sells an add on tube that will make my SRT10 Ram style hood functional. I recommend this intake to anyone that wants an intake that works and looks good.

Great product. Great quality. The air box was a little tricky to install but no modification was needed and other than that, installation was a breeze. Directions could be clearer but it's all pretty basic stuff. I don't notice much noise difference in acceleration until you really punch it. Not sure about the HP gains or improved fuel economy yet. It do feel slightly a little more power uphills and I notice the truck holding current gear longer rather than downshifting when it normally needing to.
