"I am very pleased with the intake system. My gas milage did not change much in the city, but on the highway it jumped up to three gallons better. I have also noticed when climing hills the truck does not need to downshift as often. You get a lot more engine noise when you hit it hard, but normal driving is not much different. As to horse power gains, it feels stronger but it could also be the extra noise giving me that illusion. The system only took about 20 minutes to install and most of that was reading the instructions. All in all I am very satisfied and definately recommend this product."

Too loud on Supercharged Engine
Posted on 01/03/2006 by Kevin M. - 2006 Hummer H2 (Tampa,FL)
12 of 19 people found the following review helpful.
"I installed the intake just days after installing a Magnacharger on my 2006 H2 SUT. Installation was easy and straightforward. I, unfortunately, subsequently removed it because the sound increase from the supercharger noise through the filter was near deafining at wide open throttle. So be wary of using with this kind of application. For stock engines it should give a healthier engine sound and I do believe one would notice a power increase."

"THIS INTAKE WAS VERY SIMPLE TO INSTALL. IT TOOK ME ABOUT 40 MINUTES. THERE WAS ONE BRACKET THAT WAS TOUGH, BUT NOTHING I COULD NOT OVERCOME. AS SOON AS I DROVE MY TRUCK, I COULD FEEL AN INSTANT IMPROVEMENT IN THE TORGUE. I WAS SCARED IT WOULD MAKE NOISES WHILE DRIVING, BUT IT SOUNDS GOOD WHEN YOU PUT YOUR FOOT INTO IT. WOULD RECOMMEND THIS ON FOR ALL F150 OWNERS."

Airaid Intake System for 1996 Ram 1500
Posted on 12/06/2005 by John B. - 1996 Dodge Ram (Oswego,IL)
11 of 21 people found the following review helpful.
"The installation was very easy. For this installation I would recommend spraying the exhaust manifold bolt that is used for the tube support, with Liquid Wrench, etc. Mine was pretty rusty, and you definately don't want to break the stud! The only thing that disappointed me was that every picture, and description that I saw regarding the Airaid system showed an air box which shielded the filter from the engine heat. The system I received is just a straight tube with a high-flow filter at the end which sits right over the right side exhaust manifold. I haven't had the system on long enough to determine any performance, or mileage improvements."
