Description

Put a new twist on your air intake and watch your power, torque and fuel economy spin to new heights of performance. The Airaid PowerAid Throttle Body Spacer is custom-made to bolt-on to your vehicle in less than an hour.

The secret to the throttle body spacer is its dyno-proven Helix bore. The Helix bore creates high-velocity spin on the incoming air. This "tornado" mixes with the fuel and sends a superior atomized mixture all the way into the combustion chamber. The result: the PowerAid Throttle Body Spacer gives your engine low-end punch and better mileage.

The PowerAid Throttle Body Spacer is machined from aircraft-grade aluminum for durability. Airaid includes all installation hardware and a 30-day "No Hassle" manufacturer warranty with the PowerAid Throttle Body Spacer.

Notes

  • The Airaid PowerAid Throttle Body Spacer works with the stock intake only. Not guaranteed to fit with any performance air intake.

Does add something

Posted on 10/03/2006 by Adam C. - 1998 Jeep Cherokee (Chapel Hill,NC)

"I'd give this a 3.5 stars if I could since its better than the average 'performance' product out there. You don't get a lot for the price, but it did add about 1 mpg to my 98 lifted Cherokee. Marginally worht the money, and it does help turn my 33s."

Noticeable Power and Economy

Posted on 09/25/2006 by Christopher M. (Willow Spring,NC)

"Ive had the poweraid on for a little over a week now and I couldnt be more pleased. The whistle is very low key, mostly covered by the exhaust tone, and Ive already seen a nice increase in MPG, close to 2 MPG to be exact. There is a definite improvement in throttle response, and above 2K RPM the engine really comes to life and pulls strong through the RPM range. I have coupled this with a Gibson Duel Sport Exhaust, Hypertech Programer III, K&N FIPK, Granatelli MAF sensor, MSD 8.5mm wires, Iridium plugs, and I now average over 18 city, no numbers on HWY. I would highly recommend this product. Very easy to install, took about 15 min. Cant miss."

Posted on 09/24/2006 by James C. - 2003 Jeep Renegade (Sierra Vista,AZ)

"I installed the spacer at the same time that I put in a cold air intake. Went pretty easy. Throttle bracket is the wrong one for Liberty Renegade so I had to do some home-made adjustments. I'm happy with the sound, torque, and outcome."

Easy Install?

Posted on 09/18/2006 by Robert H. - 1996 Chevy Truck 1500 (Spanish Fork,UT)

"After receiving the air raid unit, I attempted the “15 minute install” in the driveway. Of the hardware that was provided only couple of pieces were of the right size or type. After about two hours of trying to find nuts and or bolts at several auto parts and hardware stores to work, I took some parts and pieces, a welder, grinder, one hour and a lot of patience, had some sort of hardware to make the thing work. With the right hardware this unit would have been “15 minutes”, with out it, nearly impossible. After the install unit didn’t have any noticeable horsepower increase but did help with gas mileage (2 mpg) while towing. The air raid talked about having a winding noise, it only makes the sound right at red line. All in all, if you tow a lot and have access to shop tools, maybe this is the unit for you."

PowerAid - 2005 Nissan Frontier 4.0

Posted on 08/11/2006 by Scott D. - 2005 Nissan Frontier (Sierra Vista,AZ)

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful.

"I noticed a slight improvement in throttle response. None of the 'annoying whistle' that others have mentioned...just a minor slight hum during acceleration. Feul economy improved by approx. 2.5-3 mpg's, but that improvement decreased after installing a K&N FIPK intake kit. I would purchas this product again for this vehicle or any other...it was worht the small investment."

Airaid PowerAid

Posted on 08/01/2006 by Roy L. - 2005 Nissan Frontier (San Antonio,TX)

"I had read in previous reviews that the instructions were not as good as they should be; I did not find that to be the case. It took about 15 minutes to install. I haven't driven enough to tell if the MPG improved, but I think I can tell a difference in power. There is no noticeable difference in the engine noise. This was installed on a 2005 Nissan Frontier...which also has the Gibson SS cat-back and a K-N cold air induction...all purchased from AutoAnything...if they have it...I buy it from them."

poweraid throttle body spacer

Posted on 07/27/2006 by Richard J. P. - 2005 Nissan Frontier (Jacksonville,NC)

"I bought another brand spacer and it didn't even have all the pieces. So I called and ordered the Airaid Poweraid. It had everything and it was very easy to put into the vehicle. Should have bought from them in the first place, knowing that I have an Airaid air filter kit that was just as easy. Thanks"

Really Works

Posted on 07/25/2006 by Chad L. - 2004 Dodge Ram (Apex,NC)

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful.

"I have read so many reviews about how this product will improve gas mileage, so I had to try it out for myself. It really does work. The only downside is that it does make a slight whistle sound that may remind you that you need to change your brakes(sounds as though). My fuel efficiency has gone up, and this first tank I managed to squeeze about an extra 60 miles out. This product will pay for itself in a couple tanks of gas. I'm happy with it so far..."
