Description

Put a new twist on your air intake and watch your power, torque and fuel economy spin to new heights of performance. The Airaid PowerAid Throttle Body Spacer is custom-made to bolt-on to your vehicle in less than an hour.

The secret to the throttle body spacer is its dyno-proven Helix bore. The Helix bore creates high-velocity spin on the incoming air. This "tornado" mixes with the fuel and sends a superior atomized mixture all the way into the combustion chamber. The result: the PowerAid Throttle Body Spacer gives your engine low-end punch and better mileage.

The PowerAid Throttle Body Spacer is machined from aircraft-grade aluminum for durability. Airaid includes all installation hardware and a Lifetime Warranty on your PowerAid Throttle Body Spacer.

Notes

  • The Airaid PowerAid Throttle Body Spacer works with the stock intake only. Not guaranteed to fit with any performance air intake.

Airaid Power Aid

Posted on 01/17/2007 by William V. (Altoona,IA)

"The throttle body spacer was quick and easy to install. I also installed a K&N Cold Air Intake system too. Together they have enhanced my low end torque and throttle response. Haven't had them long enough to gauge mpg improvement. The whistle from the throttle spacer can be a bit annoying, but a good stereo masks the sound."

Installed on 2006 Silverado 4.8L

Posted on 01/11/2007 by Michael P. - 2009 Honda Accord (Jacksonville,FL)

"Easily read installation instructions. Unfortunately, they don't tell you that you might need to remove the coolant hose from the throttle body, so be prepared to do so. Took about 30-40 minutes. I noticed some midrange torque gains (above 2,000 RPM) and hear it whistle only when really accelerating. Haven't had it long enough for MPG reports. This is my second Poweraid TBS and will purchase again for future vehicles."

Hemi PowerAid

6 of 7 people found the following review helpful.

"I recently installed the PowerAid on my 04 Dodge Hemi. It does work pretty well with my cold air intake and only took thirty minutes to put on. I don't mind the air flow whistle that it makes, but I'm somewhat of a motorhead. I have noticed a quicker jump on the RPM especially from low to mid range. Haven't done a MPG test yet."

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful.

"I put the throttle body spacer on my 2002 GMC Sierra 4.8L in about 45 minutes. The instructions were great. I noticed a better throttle response and a little more power in the midrange but nothing drastic. The 'whistle' sound is barely noticable, unless you are really listening for it. I have not noticed any gains in fuel milage yet. I am going to put dual exhaust on next, hopefully that will spice up the engine a little more!"

"I'd give this a 3.5 stars if I could since its better than the average 'performance' product out there. You don't get a lot for the price, but it did add about 1 mpg to my 98 lifted Cherokee. Marginally worht the money, and it does help turn my 33s."
