Description

Put a new twist on your air intake and watch your power, torque and fuel economy spin to new heights of performance. The Airaid PowerAid Throttle Body Spacer is custom-made to bolt-on to your vehicle in less than an hour.

The secret to the throttle body spacer is its dyno-proven Helix bore. The Helix bore creates high-velocity spin on the incoming air. This "tornado" mixes with the fuel and sends a superior atomized mixture all the way into the combustion chamber. The result: the PowerAid Throttle Body Spacer gives your engine low-end punch and better mileage.

The PowerAid Throttle Body Spacer is machined from aircraft-grade aluminum for durability. Airaid includes all installation hardware and a 30-day "No Hassle" manufacturer warranty with the PowerAid Throttle Body Spacer.

Notes

  • The Airaid PowerAid Throttle Body Spacer works with the stock intake only. Not guaranteed to fit with any performance air intake.

Shockingly Impressed

Posted on 01/05/2006 by Mikel S. - 2004 Dodge Dakota (Hollister,CA)

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful.

"I was extremely skeptical. I read all of the reviews about the Airaid PowerAid, and thought to myself this was just another gimmick. I later saw a television show about Airaid the company and their products. They were rating different products from different companies at a trade show. The reviews were very similar to what was posted here on AutoAnything.com. So I decided to take the leap of faith, and just go for it. Hey for as inexpensive as it was, and what was being claimed I just couldn’t pass this up. I am still in disbelief. It took me an hour to install, instead of the half hour they claimed, but I was so excited to try it out, that I started doing it at dusk, and had to hold a flashlight in my mouth, while working under my hood. Yes, I know… I know… Anyways, I have a 2004 Dodge Dakota 4x4 Quad Cab, with the 4.7 liter V8. Complete with tow package, etc… This includes the self learning ECM (Electronic Control Module) which automatically adjusts to driving style, air temp, shift points, etc… To make a long story endless, I must say that this has definitely improved my throttle response, low to mid range HP and Torque, and also improved my fuel mileage by 1 to 2 miles per gallon, depending on how I step on it!! I drive over 100 miles per day to and fro work, so this makes a gigantic deal to me… If I had to sum this product up into one word, that described the product, and the service I received from autoanything.com, I would have to say. SWEET!!!"

MPG'S!

Posted on 12/29/2005 by Eric O. - 2001 Dodge Dakota (Dana Point,CA)

"The Airaid throttle body spacer was very simple to install. I put it on my 2.5L Dodge Dakota and it definitly helped the underpowered truck through the mid range. Most of all it gave me a few extra MPG's. I would definitely spend the money again, well worth it."

kicks it up a notch!

Posted on 12/27/2005 by Joe S. - 2005 Ford F-150 (Sierra Vista,AZ)

"I installed this on '05 F150 4.6L V8 automatic and hey ...it wants to rock n roll!! Installation was pretty easy, took about 20 minutes. Definitely noticed a difference with pick up on the get go. Can't really say it has improved gas mileage since it tends to influence one to kick it in the pants every so often. Does make a bit of a whistling sound on throttle up but add that with my flowmaster and k&n air filter and hey driving is fun! Will have to get back on the gas mileage after some road trips."

AIR AID FOR A HEMI 2500 QUADCAB 4X4

Posted on 12/16/2005 by Ronnie R. - 2004 Dodge Ram (Everett,WA)

"INSTALLATION WAS A SNAP 10 MINUTES AT MOST AND YES IT DOES WINE A LITTLE BIT, AND I FEEL I HAVE A LITTLE MORE RESONSIVENESS IN THE GAS PEDAL AS FAR AS GAS MILEAGE I HAVEN'T HAD THE CHANCE TO TEST THAT OUT BUT I'M CONFIDENT I WILL SEE SOME IMPROVEMENT. ALL IN ALL I FEEL ITS A COOL, INEXPENSIVE, EASY TO INSTALL ADDITION THAT GIVES MORE POWER AS WELL AS FUEL SAVINGS."

Nice little applicantion!

Posted on 12/14/2005 by Harold F. - 2002 Ford F-150 (Port St. Lucie,FL)

"First off I have to say that mine does not whistle even with my K&N FIPK. I couldn't really say it helps the gas milage because I installed it all together at the same time. I can say, however, that the install was not as easy as they make it seem. I had to re-adjust the throttle and cruise control wire bracket serverl times to keep it from touching other components. But in the end it all fit. Didn't even have to adjust the throttle wires. Hint: make sure you line it up right. The Airaid has a small stamp (TB)on the side that needs to face the throttle-body."

Good but not great

Posted on 12/14/2005 by Nick M. (Grass Valley,CA)

"The installation instructions were not clear for my vehicle. Also, I have seen no improvement in MGP, or any "seat of my pants" improvement in performance. It does make a wicked whistle, and nominally improves throttle response. My suggesstion is to get a cold air intake kit before considering any throttle body spacer."

Very easy install!

Posted on 11/25/2005 by Edward V. (San Antonio,TX)

"The intsall on my 2003 Chevy Silverado 5.3L took maybe 20-30 minutes. I immediately drove off to test the product and can honestly say I did feel a difference in the low and mid range power band. The whistling sound was pretty cool as well! My only "problem" was that I had to cut a small part of the hose on my K&N 77 Series Cold Air Intake Kit because the hose was really crammed against the fan shroud. I will recommend this product to all my friends and family!"

Airaid Poweraid

Posted on 11/23/2005 by Dennis A. - 2005 Ford F-150 (Franklin,WI)

"I have a 2005 Ford F-150 Supercrew Cab and a 5.4 liter V-8. The installation of the "Poweraid" was very easy (about 45 minutes from start to clean-up). I have had it on for a little over a week and have not seen any gains in mpg (I was hoping for that the most), but the increase in performance is definitely there. I hear absolutely no "whistling" noise from the Poweraid, but there is a throatier sound to the engine in general (good sound). In any event, I have more power and no loss of mpg either."
