Description

Put a new twist on your air intake and watch your power, torque and fuel economy spin to new heights of performance. The Airaid PowerAid Throttle Body Spacer is custom-made to bolt-on to your vehicle in less than an hour.

The secret to the throttle body spacer is its dyno-proven Helix bore. The Helix bore creates high-velocity spin on the incoming air. This "tornado" mixes with the fuel and sends a superior atomized mixture all the way into the combustion chamber. The result: the PowerAid Throttle Body Spacer gives your engine low-end punch and better mileage.

The PowerAid Throttle Body Spacer is machined from aircraft-grade aluminum for durability. Airaid includes all installation hardware and a 30-day "No Hassle" manufacturer warranty with the PowerAid Throttle Body Spacer.

Notes

  • The Airaid PowerAid Throttle Body Spacer works with the stock intake only. Not guaranteed to fit with any performance air intake.

"I just finished putting on the Airaid throttle body spacer on my 4.7L Ram, there was no differance in it what so ever, the only thing i noticed was the annoying whistle. I then installed the Volant COld Air KIt and couldn't be happier. I suggest to spend your money on the CIA instead."

Xj from MN

Posted on 03/15/2007 by Rory B. - 1996 Jeep Cherokee (Sartell,MN)

"Installed with a Pacesetter cold air intake this product did yield an increase in gas mileage. On half a tank of gas I typically went about 100-105 miles. Now I am averaging 110 to 120 miles on half a tank of gas. Some dislike the whistling noise that the TBS makes, but before I installed the new air intake, the whistling was hardly noticeable. With the new cold air intake it is significantly more noticeable, but I personally don't mind the noise. If there has been an increase in power, it has not been very noticeable, but the gas mileage is worth it."

Good Buy

Posted on 03/05/2007 by Nathan C. - 2002 Ford F150 (Robbinsville,NJ)

"I have an 02' Ford F-150, 5.4L, with a 6 inch lift and 35 inch tires. Needless to say, the big tired drained some of my power. This TBS combined with a K&N intake really gave my truck some more pep. The TBS even gave me another 1 to 1.5 mpg better. The whistling can be a little annoying at times, but you get used to it. Kinda sounds like a turbo. Definately a good product."

"i think the airaid poweraid is so far the best thing i`ve done to my 2005 1500 ram with a 4.7 liter almost a hemi ( read tech.specs) the engine starts coming on around 2500 rpm.i have no prob.hitting 95 mph in 4th gear.there isnt enough road to go into 5th and 6th gear with it.with all said,i have yet heard the whistle, just a throatier exhaust and come on intake.i`m already chipped and exhausted and only a k&n air filter.wait till i get a gung ho cold air intake system, mayby then i`ll hear that darn whistle."

Have a mechanic install it.

Posted on 03/01/2007 by Michael S. - 2001 Dodge Dakota (Ripley,OH)

"The quality is very good, I do recommend you have a mechanic install this just to be safe unless you are skilled at auto mechanics. I put this on my 2001 Dodge Dakota with the 4.7 v8. You will notice some change. I also installed the airaid air induction system I'm still waiting to see about the gas mileage but I do believe I picked up at least two miles more per gallon. (The instructions picture is way to blurry to see properly, it should have been illustrated to see better.)"

Pretty cool stuff

Posted on 02/22/2007 by Clyde L. - 2004 Chevy Trailblazer (Corpus Christi,TX)

"The installation was fairly easy with the right tools. I did feel a bit more power/torque immediately. No whistle at all!!! As far as gas mileage...my tank does seem to streach a little further. I'm too busy stomping on the peddle though to be 100% sure. I have a chip, dual exhaust, and K&N air filter installed already and everything seems to work well together. Put it this way...I smoked a BMW X5 head to head on the freeway, so I like it!"

Pretty Good

Posted on 02/20/2007 by Marshall B. - 2002 Ford Expedition (Brooklyn,NY)

"I purchased the Airaid Power Aid and just installed it on my 02 expedition. it installed fairly easy, only problem I had was trying to reinstall the plastic cover for the throttle body. Also installed the Airaid Cold Air intake, I am mechanically inclined, but the instructions sure aren't like Chiltons. No time to determine about power or fuel, but it sure does sound Great. They should have added 4 more hose clamps to the kit."

Poweraid On 2000 Nissan Frontier

Posted on 02/16/2007 by Allen G. - 2000 Nissan Frontier (Jacksonville,FL)

"It was a little tough to install because the throttle body doesn't move out of the way very well, however, the moment this throttle body spacer was installed, I noticed instant results. My Horse Power increased to a level at which I can now beat lower liter V8's off the line now. There is also a faint whistling coming from it when you are at about 3000 to 4000 RPM's. It makes the engine sound supercharged. THE WHISTLE MEANS IT'S WORKING!!! I haven't really noticed any gains in gas mileage, but then again, ever since I got the Poweraid, I've been a bit of a leadfoot.LOL. Overall, I'm very happy with this throttle body spacer. A definete good buy!!!"
