"I have never purchased an intake kit before, but I did a lot of research before doing so and came to the conclusion that K&N made the best cold air intake for the quality and value. It took right at 90 minutes to install and not being of a mechanical mind it went smoothly. I am impressed at the increased performance of my truck as well as the more resonant tone that can be heard in the cab when accelerating. I am incredibly impressed with this product and will recommend it to anyone who is looking to purchase a quality cold air intake for their vehicle. I will also recommend AutoAnything every opportunity I get. Thank you for making my transaction simple and efficient."

"I did the install on my 05 Tundra. It took about an hour. The first thing I noticed was the sound. The truck has a deeper sound when on demand. At first I noticed a high pitch whistle sound but that went away after 5 miles of so. The power really comes out at the high rpm band. And I have noticed less lag at the start. I also installed a throttle body spacer at the same time. My results may be compounded."

"Installed intake on above truck which has 6.0L gas engine. Istructions were pretty good as they had photo's, but diagrams showing what to do step by step would be an improvement. Also, the instructions did sate how careful you should be with the OEM air flow sensor. There are tiny anodes on one side of the sensor that can very easily be damaged. I assumed the sensor would be inoperative if these anodes were damaged. suggest you be very carefull when handling the sensor and don't touch these anodes.
Quality control could have been better as one of the replacement mounting isolator posts wasn't tapped - it had no threads. After trying to tap the post, I ended up just using the OEM bolts with extra washers. The rubber molding quality would also have been better as it crimps and doesn't bend easily around corners - espcially inside corners. Would be a better product if this molding were pre-molded to fit the flange.
The fit has to be really muscled into lace to not only work correctly, but look good and symetric. It took a lot of tightening and loosening of the clamps to get it right and I actually ended up reversing the tube for a better fit. This put the K & N logo on the bottom side of the tube, but the good news is the kit comes with extra stickers so you can just use one on the top of the tube.
Looks and works great. I added it after I installed dual exhaust so I don't hear much change in the sound unless the hood is open and you actuate the throttle. Then you can really hear the intake volume of air going through the filter."

"This intake for my Envoy is pretty sick! Makes the truck soundlike a muscle car its great! As for the horsepower, it gives it a little more of a push but not as much as i hoped for. Probably gives ya about 10 more horsepowere which will make me move more than usual but i was hoping for a little more. As for installation, impossible to do yourself unless your great with cars. I brought it to a place to install for it $40...I love the intake but for three hundred bills i was hoping for a little more!"

"I had heard how easy and relatively inexpensive mod the CAI would be, and I was not disappointed. The install was pretty straightforward, no complaints with the instructions. It sounds great in my Titan. The chrome pipe looks great under the hood also. Overall, I would say that this was a great buy."

"This is the second K&N intake system I have owned. Both very impressive additions for my Durango's. Immediately, you notice the added HP at the wheels. I've driven over 300 miles and have noticed a 2 MPG increase(all city driving). This alone will pay for the cost of the intake system. I highly recomend this for anyone wanting additional power and mpg immediately."

"Looks good when you raise the hood. Installation went off without a hitch. However, it would have been easier if the pictures with the instructions were clearer.
More responsive when you hit the pedal. Have not put a full tank through yet. But, at the rate the needle is going down, anticipate better mpg."

"When i first brought the K&N i thought it would be simple and just another add on to the underhood, but after the install i loved the sound it made. It rumbles when the throttle is applied, its great sound and better performance for my Truck. K&N is a reliable seller and the install was simple, i just think the gasket needs a trim up, other than that great product for looks and horsepower."
