The secret behind the power is the formidable team of the custom-engineered intake pipe, a handy heat shield and K&N’s legendary Filtercharger cloth filter that’s washable and reusable. And, thanks to K&N’s detailed directions and quality hardware, you won’t be in your engine for installation very long. In fact, with just a few common hand tools, the project can be done in less than 90 minutes. Best yet, K&N backs your 77 Series Air Intake with a 10-year/1,000,000-mile warranty. Order now, and start crankin’ out pure power with your rig.

"The intake took less than an hour to install. The power increase is there, and the sound combined with the cat back exhaust is sick. All that and it looks cool too."

"Installation is on my'06 Ram 1500 HEMI. Whew!! This thing does have some sound. Reminds me of the sound of the two 4 barrels on my '64 409 chevy. They know you're coming!!! As for the installation...I allotted 1 1/2 hours. Four hours later and in the dark, (using 2 flashlights and the headlights), I finally finished up. Does it KICK BUTT you say? YUP! I'm also seeing a little better gas smileage. The o2 indicator on the dash is still lit. I called the Autoanything guys and they said to disconnect the battery for a couple of hours, then hook it back up and drive 250-300 miles and the computer will adjust. Be sure that when you attach the intake throat that you really reef the bolts on the big hose clamp down as much as you can. The intake box is bolted to the inner fender, and the steel intake is bolted to the intake box. It makes a ridged connection. The only flex point is the short piece of rubber hose connecting the steel intake to the throat. Make it as tight as you can. Otherwise, the intake may come away from the throat. Happy driving guys & girls"

"I had a Vortec on this vehicle first and changed it out to the K&N -- There is no comparision. The K&N blows the Vortec away. With the K&N I could and still can feel the increased horse power. It's K&N for me -- 100%"

Pricey Air Snorkel makes more noise, power

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful.

"Upon receiving my ground shipped (six bus. days to Northern NJ) cold air intake, I opened the rather large box to discover quite a few parts, pretty in pink air filter, and accompanying shiny chrome tube. After reviewing the provided instructions, I was able to accurately estimate the time needed (45 min.) to remove my stock intake, configure various mounting points, and finally install the frighteningly fragile aftermarket air filter using alarmingly substandard hose clamps. That being said, the additional grunt and engine growl (not to mention improved fuel economy) have lived up to my expectations as being well worth any minor hardships suffered in the quest for bolt-on exuberance. Thank You K+N."

Adrian's 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee- 4.7L- 4X4

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful.

"Fast shipping. Arrived and I couldn't wait to put it on. I started during lunch and had 10 minutes to spare. I did my initial road test and am really surprised I didn't get a speeding ticket. The sound is great and the throttle response is definitely noticeable. As far as gas mileage is concerned, I didn't notice any right off the bat because my foot stayed buried in the gas pedal. Once I regained my composure, reset my computer (disconnect the negative cable on batt.) and dropped in a bottle of injector cleaner, I averaged an extra 2-ish mpg. not overly impressive, but better than what I had before. Aesthetically, very nice. I recommend for anyone looking for a nice looking performance add on. Instructions were clear, but could definitely use more pictures. Now I can add a throttle body spacer and magna flow exhaust and i'll put my Jeep next to a 5.7L Hemi and see what happens. Hope this review helps."

"Removing the factory intake system and replacing it with the #77 was an excellent move to say the least. My vehicle seems to no longer "bog" down and has a smooth acceleration now. Furthermore it seems that I'm getting about 2 mpg more then before. I would reccomend the K&N system to any automobile owner that wants to improve the overall preformance of their vehicle!"

"Installed the intake kit myself, very easy to install, kit was complete nothing missing and the fit was excellent. Truck is more responsive, more power and better mileage Last trip got 16 mpg towing a 3000lb camper in the mountains. Did have a problem with the check engine light coming on but it went away after resetting it several times and going through a tank of gas."

"I really hated the way my 2005 F-150 sounded and moved through the power curve, then I pruchase the K&N 77 intake. I installed it in less than 30 min with the easy to follow instructions. Performance increases are not the only benefit, both sound and overall looks under the hood increased as well!! I recommend this to anyone wanting to beef up the look, sound, and performance of their truck!! I am a hard person to please when it comes to service, but AutoAnything has made me happy yet again!!"

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful.

"Missing parts when arrived, called K&N and they sent them. Installation was not too difficult, but I was very disappointed when I could not close my hood. Modified recommended installation to ensure proper seal and closing of hood. Would not have expected that problem from K&N! But it does appear to preform and save on gas. Over all I am pleased with the performance. KWC"
