Fan Interference on Tundra 4.7 V8 w/ Throttle body spacer

"I installed the intake kit along with a throttle body spacer. The elbow with the kit interfered with the fan. I had to cut the OEM intake and use the OEM elbow to avoid the problem and fabricate the proper connector to the new intake.
It added about an hour to the install. But it works great."

K&N on my '07 Ram 1500 5.7L HEMI

"The kit came within 3 days, was 100% complete, and installed as easy as described. I noticed an immediate difference in sound and response! A few more hp, 12-15, but mostly it accessed the hp a lot faster and easier, especially in lower 2nd gear, and 5 mpg increase. Now coupled with a 40 series flowmaster, it sounds and runs perfect!! Oh yeah! aa.com is the cheapest by far than anyone online or in stores."

"To me, the GM 5.3L was superior to the 6.0 - smoother and better economy. (I have both). I added the K&N 77 to my 6.0 Yukon XL. Wow. The 6.0 is now a kick in the gas. My very own Batmobile, a howling rocket. If it really gets better mpg, give it 6 stars."

"I have to be honest.
Although not extreme, both kits arrived with dents in the metal intake pipe. Not severe enough to send it back, but when you pay over two hundred per kits, it's kind of irritating. Also, the Explorer kits was missing a few parts. On the flip side, the power band is greatly increased but gas mileage is about the same."

"Good design with straight forward installation. Looks good in the engine compartment. Definately notice the power increase as well as better fuel economy. The only complaint is a loud buzzing noise at wide open throttle that is annoying. K&N has no idea what it could be. I have triple checked all fittings and connections with no luck as to the origin of the noise."

"I haven't worked on a car for many years. I found the instructions to be pretty small so enlarged them on a copier and found the detail to be very acceptable. Had no problem except installing the piece on the mount that houses the actual filter was a real challenge. Separate pieces would have made it much easier. Other than that I spent one easy hour installing the kit. Vehicle has more pick up and is much more responsive than with stock filter. Glad I made the purchase."

"I received the K&N CAI kit three days after ordering from AutoAnything. So far i absolutely love it,installation was very quick, took me no more than 30 minutes. The truck seems a little more responsive when I get on the throttle now, and i love the reactions i get from people when i give it some gas, and the engine gives off that awesome growl! Overall I'm very happy with it."

"This was a complete drop-in mod. Installation was a breeze. I didn't give it a 5 star since there was no change/improvement in gas consumption on my first tank of gas. I liked it though for it makes the truck feel quite lighter. I also like the growl it makes when I gun the throttle."

"The installation was fairly simple. Once I got started, it flowed rather well, except for the occasional nagging wife. Definitely have improved power, haven't checked the mileage yet, I can't seem to keep my foot off the gas. Sounds great with my Gibson dual exhaust. I would definitely buy this product again."
