"very nice part,easy to assemble.a little loud but sounds nice.small power loss under 2000 rpm but also used throttle body spacer on install.great power increase in mid to upper rpm range"

Missing pieces

"I am satisfied with the overall difference the air intake has made to my Chevy. I am not satisfied with the trouble I had to go through during installation. I was missing one allen head bolt, and two rubber washers. All of which are probably worth no more than one dollar. Instead of calling K&N, or Auto Anything to complain about the missing pieces, I went down to the local auto part store and bought the missing hardware. I would have had to wait for probably a week to get these missing pieces if I went through the formal complaint process. I am glad you sent me this survey so I could voice my frustration. What are you going to do to make it up to me? I spent $240.00 + tax on a so called "top of the line" product. If you respond by telling me that there is nothing we can do, well then you are just like all of the rest, and I will never buy a K&N product, let alone from AutoAnything. At least pack extra hardware in your products that has a minimal impact on cost to you; that's my only advice."

"Well I have seen the big increase in performance but I have not seen any fuel gain yet. I'm on my 2nd tank of fuel, I don't expect to see any until the 3rd or 4th. Got to keep my foot out of it first. Sure like the new sound."

Not worth it !

"I would not recommend this to anyone. This part said it was made for my vehicle. Yea right! this was clearly not made or even ever attempted to be put on my vehicle, All the parts were wrong and i had to do major modifications to make this work, Then when i did finally get it on it does not even come close to what i thought this does not increase horsepower and i highly doubt that it helps any with gas. Do your self a favor and do not buy this product if you are wanting more power for your H3 it does nothing. Very disappointing."

"I have a 2006 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab with a V8 High-Output engine. I have dual Magnaflow catback exhaust and the K&N Cold Air Intake helped make it sound even more mean and I can feel the response is alot better. I think my trip computer isn't getting the right reading because it says my mpg have dropped .7 mpg but it seems like we are getting about 20 miles more with a full tank. This is definitely worth the price."

"Very fast delivery! Best price around! Go check for yourself, I still haven't found any cheaper! Took me about an hour and a half due to me just taking my time and making sure everything was right. I was anxious to try this baby out, after I let the truck idle and get used to the extra air, I opened the throttle some as I was going down the street and immediately I could hear the growl! When I got on the express way I opened her up even more and she just responded like a true champ. I could definitely the difference! Does save on gas as well, and that's a plus here in Chicago! Just have to try and keep it smooth on lake shore drive and not attract the "wrong" kind of attention...Police!! Thanks AutoAnything, keep your prices and your service the same, I do plan on more purchases in the future."

"I found the intake to be rally loud which I really like. It did not give that noticable power increase but it helped my truck hold gears a tad bit longer when climbing hills. It was Really easy to install and Looks good. Mixed with a power-aid throttle body spacer it will turn heads with a really loud whistle. Havent noticed any gas mileage yet but i am running 33's with stock gears so... My engine seems to be running 200rpm lower at idle so thats some sort of better gas mileage right? All in all I guess it was worth the money."

"I ordered this cold air intake and received in 2 days, which is amazing for standard ground shipping. Installation was super easy. It actually took about 2 hours because I was working with a buddy who was putting one on his 2006 Ram 2500, but it should only take an hour at the most. There is a definite increase in power right away and gas mileage is probably 1-2 mpg better. Also if you are looking for your truck to be a bit louder, deeper sounding this definitely does the trick as you accelerate. All around I would recommend it. WELL WORTH THE MONEY!!!"

"Kit was easy to install, approximatelly 1 hour. Once you reconnect the battery and start engine you'll need to hold throttle open to keep it running (computer adjusting). The engine stalled a couple of times and then worked fine, no problems. I went ahead and changed plugs while the motor was cool. Performance definetly enhanced, smoked tires for the first time. Mileage city improved 2mph. Deep throat when you nail it, wife not crazy about it. However, normal throttle operation sound from engine normal way past 80mph. AutoAnything price for the K&N was cheapest by $80 (shopped around) service and shipping EXCELLENT. I've added AutoAnything to my favorites and will recommend to anyone... Lou - Miami Shores, FL."

"Love the intake. quiet until you push the gas.easy to install but doesn't tell you what to do with hose located at bottom of old intake. gas has inproved 1 to 2 mpg"
