"I received my kit a day earlier than expected and installation was quick and easy. My F250 sounds great and runs better than before. I have noticed an increase in power but am still waiting on the extra MPG's to kick in."

Excursion Air intake

"This was pretty easy to install it took just over an hour and it sounds great on the truck. I do feel a big difference in power and speed, but I can not say that it help the MPG. It made no difference it almost feels that I use more but I think it is because I floor it now as it hails butt."

Not good with other performance parts

"I ordered the throttle body spacer at the same time I ordered the air intake system, the K&N air intake arrived first so I installed it. However, when my throttle body spacer arrived and I installed it, the K&N system would not fit between the intake and the firewall. What I did was take the factory intake without the filter, cut the end off the K&N near the K&N filter and cut the end off the factory intake hose and fit them together. I gave it one star for compatibility with other performance parts and no stars for the instructions they send. I could not see the pictures, nor could I understand the instructions. However, I would give it 4 stars for regular performance."

Matrix Cold Air Intake

"I put the K&N 69 Typhoon on my '05 Matrix w/auto transmission; and I did notice a difference. It has more mid range power then it did before. That is I live near the top of a 3 mile 8% grade with one turnout for passing. I used to grit my teeth passing slower traffic in the 25-45mph range, but now no problem even puts you in your seat a little. My wife mostly just noticed that it makes more noise, but she's used to it now. I haven't checked the mileage yet, but haven't notice a decrease."

"I installed this on my 04 Jeep Grand Cherokee along with a throttle body spacer. Easy installation. I love the sound it gives off now, I've also noticed an increase in power. I'd recommend getting a throttle body spacer along with this, and install at the same time."

"K&N did a great job with the instructions and it installed in about forty five minutes. I now have more throttle response and more high rpm horsepower that i can actually feel. autoanything did a great job of getting it shipped, i got it two days after ordering. I havent noticed better gas mileage mostly because i cant keep my foot out of the throttle but i would definitely recommend to anyone who wants better breathing and a nicer sound, people turn there heads when they hear the intake"

"Overall I am very satisfied with this product. The intake definitely increased my horsepower and throttle response. Not sure if it did much for improving fuel mileage. However, it has not hurt it. The installation was pretty strait forward. However, I felt the instructions could have been a little more precise on a few steps. I would recommend this product to anyone looking to add a little something to their vehicles performance."

"I have a mustang 3.8l. I had a cold air intake b4 but i couldn't pass smog. this is one of the few that are legal in CA. The filter is HUGE. Directions were easy if you are car savvy. When I turn my car on and have the hood up i can here that thing sucking in mass amounts of air. K&N is the best"

Bang for the buck

"Simply put. This easy mod is really worth the money. You cannot find a cheaper HP/$ and it makes this engine sound like mustangs on a stampede. Quite the noticable increase in intake sound and engine responce. Throttle is a lot more punchy now and acceleration is a lot cleaner than the stock air system. And for all those who don't believe that making a car breath better results in better power and performance overall. I went from 17 city MPG before mod, to now with the K&N over 22 MPG city. Couple this with a high flow exhaust and I'll be in muscle car heaven."

"K&N did an excellent job of assembling the kit and making sure the instructions were accurate. Only one step was a little confusing, but not a big deal. I was hoping for an improvement in fuel economy. Installed on my '02 F150 5.4L V8 SuperCrew and didn't notice any difference other than the sound. Disappointing. Next step...dual exhaust."
