"I own an '01 Chevy Silverado with the 5.3 V8 and love it. But, when I pull my Motorcyle trailer, it will hardly pull it without dropping down a gear. I know that the truck is designed that way but I travel alot and don't like the engine reving so much. I installed the K&N system just before I went to New Mexico and was very impressed. It only geared down on steeper grades. I have been on the same trip before and can tell quite a diference. I'm very pleased with the results. Thanks, Aubrey "

"Removing the factory air box and mass air sensor from the engine was easy. However, getting the factory air box detached from the mass air-flow sensor was a bit tiedous because of poor engineering choices by Mitsubishi. The plastic housing that held the "screws" in place broke so the nut just spun the screw. However, that has nothing to do with K&N other than they could include a warning in the installation instructions. Also, be very careful of the aluminum(?) honeycomb in the mass air sensor. It's very pliable and can be damaged easily. It's even entirely possible that someone has already done
so when they were installing a new factory air filter. Mine were damaged
badly enough, I just removed them as I was worried flakes from the honeycomb
could wind up in the engine. I'm not qualified to recommend this to someone,
but it is what I did with no ill effects that I have noticed.
The FIPK's installation was a snap. Everything fit together tightly and the bracket's that hold the filter in place fit exactly as they should against interior fender wall. You did have to pay attention to which one went on which side of the filter, but that's to be expected.
Performance is noticably better. The engine grumbles more deeply, rev's a bit faster and you can really tell the air-flow as increased as the "whine" from the turbos you get from about 2K to 3K RMP's was louder.
The only point I was worried was after I started the car for the first time. It really didn't want to idle. There were a couple of points that I thought it might fade and die. I bit the bullet, got it out on the road and drove it and it behaved just as it should. The idle is normal again. I can't explain it, but that's what I observed.
If you don't have one of these on your 3000GT VR4, I highly recommend you get one."

"I was a skeptic but now a believer. I increased my MPG by 1.8 miles per gallon on gas. It may not seem like much but it does add up, especially when you consider today's gas prices. Additionally, there is more power and a more aggressive sound. Instructions say install takes 90 minutes but it took me 2 hrs and 15 minutes. No big deal, just a little patience and careful reading. You'll like the results!"

"Within a week of purchasing my new 2007 mustang gt I installed a new K&N High-Flow Intake Kit. The install took about 45 minutes. The instructions were simple to follow, and the results were very noticeable. I installed a K&N High Flow on my 2004 Mach 1 and that car ran like a fast cat. You can feel the power while seeing better gas mileage as well. I recommend a K&N to all."

"My experience installing the K&N Fuel Injection Performance Kit FIPK Generation II
#57-1507 for Doge 1994-02 Ram V10-8.0L was more difficult than it should have been. Had I not already had extra nut's, bolts screws on hand I would have been out of luck.
It is almost like the experience most have had assembling toys on Christmas Eve. The illustration's are anything but helpful for the most part and the directions just plain unclear in many instances. Better pictures (blowups) would be very helpful!
This is not something that someone with NO automotive experience should tackle. Before you just blow me off and a non-mechanic let me say I have worked on my own vehicles since the age of 14 with my first complete engine rebuild done at 15.
I am sure the product will be exceptional and provide the performance boost that I am looking for on my vehicle. I would just like to see better instructions and illustrations provided for the installer."

"Quick delivery even though I am in Canada. Cheapest price even with the extra shipping costs.
1 hour to install, including getting tools and cleaning up. Easy.
Noticeable difference right away. Motor is louder and you can definetely feel the difference. Havn't been on a highway trip yet to see if it improves fuel economy.
Vey satisfied.
The only suggestion would be for K&N to increase the width of the 4" sleeve where the intake tube meets the throttle body.
Revved up in Canada."

"Bought an 06' Mega Cab with the Cummins motor and was looking to start making hp and torque gains for hauling. It took me 90 minutes to remove the oem airbox and snug the K&N hardware up to the Turbo. There is a noticible increase in power and less lag for the turbo to spool up. The increase whine of the Turbo is a welcomed event because I know the power is there when I need it and I'm getting beter milage to boot. I couldn't be happier with this product."

"This is my second FIPK. After the first one, I'll put these on every vehicle I buy. I find these kits to be completely amazing. The sound is great, and if you have a performance exhaust. . look out it'll really open up the sound then. The throttle response and top end are just incredible with these. Along with some fuel economy, I can run my truck hard and get the same as it did before the kit, or take it easy for some better MPG. It's a great all around kit for whatever you're looking for, it does it all. Installation sucks like on anything, but it's well worth it in the end. I took my Dad for a ride as soon as I got it done now he's about to order one. His 5.0 will still never compair to my 5.8."

"I bought this intake for my 2006 King Ranch F-150 after much research, decided to go with the K&N-77 for the look and the performance, and i'm quite pleased with both. I like the added power and the deep sound when you hit the gas. When i can stay off the gas, i get better gas mileage about 1-2mpg."
