"A bit louder, but seems to have better throttle response. Gas mileage is about 1.5- 2 MPG better. Ordered the Power Aid throttle spacer as well and with the 5.9 liter MPFI engine on the Dodge was an absolute BEAR to install. Barely fits with a considerable amount of coaxing."

"Easy to install, only about 1-1/2 hours. Definitely improved the sound and throttle response. More zip at the higher revs and approximately 10% increase in fuel economy."

excellent product poor directions

"This product utilized an attachment bolt (hidden) right next to and below the AC hose. Reading the directions three times and studing the picture I took off the AC bolt and lost all my coolant. Then I saw the correct bolt! It will now cost me $150 to recharge the system. Perhaps a little warning would have saved me some of those Do-it-yourself DOLLARS."

"I'm 68 yrs. old and not very mechanically inclined, but installed the kit in about an hour, maybe a little longer. It was real hot out. I haven't had a chance to check gas mileage improvements, but the acceleration improvement is noticeable."

"The directions detailed the installation pretty well. The only thing I didn't like were the three small screws holding the filter cover in place. They where too hard to get started and will be a hassle everytime the filter is recharged."

"Autoanything.com had the best price accompanied by a very fast shipping department. The Intake Kit was extremely simple to install, less than 20 minutes. Once installed, the throttle response is felt right away, and you can hear the intake as soon as you step on the pedal (sounds great). You can feel a slight increase in HP about half way through the RPM's, and then it pulls harder as you increase throttle. The best part is that you never have to buy another air filter."

Install was not super smooth

"The removal of the old airbox is easy and the installation of the K&N is not difficult. Until I got to the heat shield that doesn't seem to have had the holes for some of the piping put in the appropriate place. Also a bracket for the piping was useless. If I had used it I would not have been able to use the heat shield. So if I would have realized this sooner I would have saved myself a lot of time during installation. Other than that I am very happy with the product."

"Website had the best price and very fast delivery. Step by step instructions w/photos helped the product go on very easily. The tube was a couple of millimeters too long requiring a very minor cut/shaving (No big deal). Sound and performance can be heard and felt immediately!"

"Positives: The intake works great. I can feel a good difference in power at the top end and it sounds good too. The K&N looks good in my truck as well. Negatives: Since the kit I bought is used on numerous vehicles, the intructions were confusing. I gave up on them and just used common sense. Also I didnt like the fact that on my application a whole saw bit and a drill was needed. Not a common tool so made things little frustating. Overall, the intake is great. Just read the instuctions before you tear off your stock intake so you dont have to re-install it to go find a speacial tool if needed."

"I recently ordered the K&N 69 Series Typhoon intake and I am pleased with its performance. I feel that there is a significant horsepower increase and also a better sound. Soon after the purchase, I also had dual exhaust put on my car and this, combined with the intake, brought my motor to life!"
