"With my Magnaflow exhaust this intake is wicked. the decibels are way up and now she takes off like a rocket.
Who needs a HEMI..."

"put my new k&n 77 Series cold air intake on and i am very impressed. you can hear the intake gulping the air which sounds amazing. I can also feel the power gains off the line. would definently recomend this product to other F-150 owners."

"Absolutely amazing! Installation went right by the book. Now the engine sounds like a real high performance machine. You can hear the rush of air coming in and the engine sound went from whining purr to a growl! I couldn't be happier."

"Received my K&N 77 system very quickly and was anxious to install it into my 2004 HUMMER H2. I read the instructions over 2 times before I did anything. It was a breeze. I really took my time and even with a coffee break I finished in 50 minutes. The only small installation problem was that the instructions didn’t mention that the 3 holes on the filter adapter weren’t symmetrical and I went a little nuts trying to align them until I figured it out.
The first thing I noticed was the power. It didn’t snap my neck but it definitely was there. Then there was this deep throaty roar when you give it the gas. Reminded me of the old days when you would take off the air filter to gain power.
The primary reason I bought this was to gain power and MPG while pulling my 26 foot 6000 lb travel trailer.
I haven’t noticed any increase in the MPG’s but I haven’t gone on any trips where it would really show up.
All in all it was a good purchase and an easy clean installation that looks great."

"Missing parts & and really tight fit. I was able to improvise with some spare nuts and bolts I had in the garage to get it installed, but I was not happy with missing parts (the soft mount piece was different than the one in the instructions and I had to figure out my own solution to mount it. Slight gain in HP and MPG, and it sounds a bit like a rice burner now. Overall rating: Average"

"First off, I'd buy it again because of looks and because it may actually add 27 HP. From a practical viewpoint, I can't really notice any difference since the intake only really works above 4K rpm and at that point the car is already extremely loud and is accelerating so quick you'd need a drag stip timer to see any difference. For example, maybe you might see a tenth second improvement from 70 to 100 (like from 3 to 2.9 seconds) but it's hard to tell."

"Installation was simple and took less than 2 hours. I did had to buy a larger hose clamp for the 3-inch clamp that connects to the MAF unit. The one came with the package was just 2 mm short and I could not get the thread to engage. Noise level is about the same at part throttle. There is a good roar at WOT which is perfect for a car like RX8. Not sure about the 10 hp gain as claimed by K&N since I did not dyno before and after. However, a 30 roll to 70 in third gear is now half a second less. I would rate it a 5 star if I did not have to visit Pepboys for thar 4-inch hose clamp."

"I really like to cold air intake. I have certainly noticed immediate power gains and just as important to me is that I have seen a 2-3 mpg increase. Everything is just as advertised. Very easy to install! Recommend to many!!"

"I have a '06 Ford F150 4.6L and you can tell the difference. I also added a Jet Performace TBS to the engine. Between the two you can really tell but the only thing is is that one of the products makes a wistling around 1900-2200RPM, it also may be the two products combined. The noise did reduce after a few hours were on the parts. Both parts were easy to install in about an hour total. I have not been able to see an inprovement in gas milage yet, i have not been able to stay off the gas. But I believe that it will have a big impact on it though. Great buy and worth the money!"

"The price for the kit were the best that I found. As for the K&N intake kit, it went on with on problems, the instructions were right on. And there is diffently a noticeable increase in proformance and the looks are a sweet addition too. Thanks"

"Aside from the very poor hose clamps that K&N provides (I recommend going to the nearest hardware store to pick up 3 or 4 heavy duty gear hose clamps), I am really quite satisfied with this intake. Good improvement in horsepower and boy does it sound sweet when I step on it! Additionally, I'm getting 2-2.5 mpg, so this baby will pay for itself very soon."

"Noticeable power improvements with spirited driving. Spending only $220 it's well worth the gain of 9 hp. The complaint i have and i'm hoping it will go away is the intake makes a fairly loud whistling sound every time I accelerate. The K&N rep i spoke with stated this is normal and should go away after 200 miles have been driven. This should allow the throttle body to adjust to the new air sucked into it. Needless to say, I may return it if the sound does not go away soon."

"Although i haven't been able to go thorough it all the way, i can tell as soon as it was put on, i was in the back of my seat. The sound was beautiful. Along with that i'm going to see how i last on gas for the week. Seein that usually how long my truck last, dodge ram 1500. between running around college and work, it's always a pain to drop that 40 to 60 bucks a week on a half tank of gas, so if i make it to sunday of next week then i'm a believer."
