"Great kit for the money. Sounds good, looks good and preforms great. very very easy to install in under 20 min with the right tools. This replaced my huge stock intake with only a small tube and the large cold air filter. the only hard part was drilling into the body for the heat sheild which there was no directions for but very easy to figure out. good quality product. i dont see much of a difference in this kit to a chrome cold air intake from ebay for 40.00 being that it is litterly a tube with a filter. but the K&N kit does come with the stamped carb exempt sticker needed for inspection. which ebay kits may not have. anyway worth putting on my 1995 GMC JIMMY 4x4."

"I love my cold air intake by K & N, I searched all over the internet and this was and is the best product for the price! This is a fender mounted cold air intake folks! "After installing the K&N air intake kit, I noticed imidiate power gain. The installation was easy, it took me a little over a hour for the installion, because the instuction was kind of hard to read. This is overall a excellent investment."

"I purchased the air intake for my truck hoping it would deliver the added punch to my dual exhaust. I was a little concerned about the install due to the other reviews, but was pleasantly surprised when it was all installed in about 45 minutes exactly as the instructions said. It did exactly what I was hoping and made it sound perfect. As far as gas mileage, I don't know because I can't keep my foot out of the accelerator. Thanks Curt"

"Got this mainly for fuel economy in an attempt to save a few bucks on gas. Used it on one long trip pulling a boat and increased my MPG by about 2 MPG. Very impressed with it. Wrecked my truck 6 days after it was installed so I was pretty bummed but I will buy another one for my next vehicle."

"When trying to tighten the filter to the tube is is quite difficult. There is only one sweet spot that was hard to get to, to do it. The filter is also sliding down and falling off the tube because the clamp creates it to pinch and slide. Maybe when this gets worked out I'll be happier with the product, but driving and not knowing your filter has been off for who knows how many miles is scary. Jake The 1994 Z28"

"Very easy installation took as the instructions say between 1 hour to 1 and a half hours to install. Definitely a noticeable gain in power. This intake gives off a strong growl. When at high rpms almost sounds as if it was a supercharger. Wouldn’t use any other kind of intake other then K&N."

"Installation was easy except for a trip to the parts store to purchase a couple of clamps to replace two that were to small. Overall the kit works great with a gain of about 1.5mpg and a awsome intake sound with a bit more power. There is a hill between work and home that used to kick the trans out of overdrive when on cruize. Now it pulls right over in OD. WB - Fallon,NV"

"I don't know about horsepower increases with this kit but I do know the throttle response know is incredible. I hit the gas and it goes, no working up to it no hesitation, it just goes! I highly recomend this kit to anyone looking to breath new life into their car."

"This is my third cold air intake from K&N over the last ten years and each system gets better designed. K&N has one of the lognest prodect development histories in air induction and their products refect it. One of the priority purchases for and modern fuel injected engine. Oh and by the way... I was originally going to purchase the system from Jeg's High Performance and they quoted my a price of $70 higher than AutoAnything."

"I couldn't believe how easy it was to install. I did it in about 2 hours with no problems.It makes my truck sound mean and the horsepower is up also, plus I think that I'm getting better gas milage. Go figure cool sound with cool looks,and milage too, thanks k&n and autoanything"

"I have a '98 Mustang GT and the K&N FIPK Air Intake made a difference in performance, sound of the vehicle and the gas mileage. A week after installing it I went on a road trip and got 23mpg with a 4.6L. The motor seems to run smoother too."

"ORDERED AND RECEIVED THE KIT FOR MY VIPER, HAD IT INSTALLED BY MY MECHANIC. BELIEVE COULD HAVE DONE SO MYSELF BUT THERE WAS A LARGE ORANGE PRINTED SHEET INCLUDED RE POSSIBLE DISASTROUS CONSEQUENCES IF INSTALLED INCORRECTLY. HAD TO HALT INSTALLATION PROCESS BECAUSE ONE ADAPTER WAS MISSING; CALLED THE SELLER AND THEY FED-XED TO ME OVERNIGHT. I WAS GIVEN PAUSE INITIALLY BECAUSE A FRIEND INSTALLED ONE ON HIS LATE MODEL CORVETTE WITH THE RESULT THAT SOME SORT OF AIR FLOW MONITORING SYSTEM WAS ADVERSELY AFFECTED BY THE KIT AND HE RECOMMENDED THAT I DO NOT INSTALL.WITH MANY YEARS GOOD EXPERIENCE WITH K&N, I WENT AHEAD AND THUS FAR I HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS. THE KIT INCLUDED A DYNO TEST FOR THE MODEL YEAR OF MY VIPER INDICATING I WOULD PICK UP ABOUT FOURTEEN HORSEPOWER AND I AM WILLING TO SAY THAT THIS IS PROBABLY TRUE ALTHOUGH A BIT DIFFICULT TO CATEGORICALLY VERIFY BECAUSE A 14 HP INCREASE WOULD REPRESENT SOMETHING LIKE 2-3%. UNDER STIFF ACCELERATION THOUGH, YOU CAN CLEARLY HEAR SOUND OF FREER FLOWING AIR MOVING THROUGH THE TWIN K&N FILTERS. I AM HAPPY WITH THIS PURCHASE."

"While this was a great product to buy-It has given me a noticeable power and torque gain, plus a good gas mileage increase, cant tell the exact amount yet. However, the installation was awful. Everything was simple expect for the most important part, putting the intake tube onto the throttle body. The fitment between the top of the throttle body and the firewall lip was extremely tight. I guess the problem with mine was the throttle body-according to K&N R&D, I had an aftermarket throttle body, which I had thought of, but the but the mine looks exactly the same as stock, except it says "Holley V8" instead of just "V8""

"THE INSTILLATION INSTRUCTIONS AND PICTURES WERE CLEAR. THE INSTILLATION TOOK ME ONE HOUR. THE TRUCK SEEMS QUICKER OFF THE LINE, BUT THAT COULD BE WISHFUL THINKING.THE TRUCK SEEMS TO RUN QUITER, WHICH IS OPPISITE OF MOST PEOPLES OBSERVATIONS.THE TRUCK DOES GET BETTER FULE ECONOMY - WHICH IS THE MAIN REASON FOR PURCHASING THIS PRODUCT."
