"The only improvement I could see with the TAHOE kit would be a more profound air guard/deflector. There is a little bit of a gap on the engine side bottom that I thought could have been done better. This is the second K&N kit I have put on with the first one being installed on a F-150. Any chance to improve gas mileage is worth looking into."

"the installation was easier than i thought it would be. the instant performance gained was noticable and it sounds pretty good. i havent really driven it enough to see if it will give me better gas milage yet though."

"I read all the reviews on this site for the K&N intake on before ordering, and decided to experiment with it for myself as the price was right. As noted in the reviews, the instructions could be a bit more clear but the install took only about 1.5 hours (a 2nd set of hands is helpful). I've gone through 2 tanks of gas with the new intake so far & I saw a 2.8MPG (Highway driving)improvement on the 1st one and 1.5 MPG (city driving)on the second one. There is a noticeable improvement in power as I can cruise at the same speed but at 300 less RPM. It also adds a throatier exhaust note. Whine from the Supercharger is more evident now when I stomp the pedal but I don't mind. I would recommend this product & just ordered a Gibson Cat Back system to complement the intake!"

"The filter looks ok, would look better if it was crome though. There was some increse in performance but nothing to brag about. If you need some quick upgrade to your P-71 then get one, it will make the car atleast look cool."

"I was really impressed with the increase in performance after adding the K&N unit. The motor breathes easier and has a more deep throaty sound. I have not checked the mileage yet to see if it has improved, because I can not keep my foot out of the gas. Installation took less than an hour, and the instructions were very clear and detailed. Thanks K&N for a great product. Jim"

"This is the first K&N intake I have purchased, and I must say that I am impressed. No more AEM for me! The install was a breeze (took no more than 30 minutes), and I could tell there was a big difference performance wise immediately. Titan's are known for having power, but the intake added some extra juice. Also noticed my MPG increase by 1.5. This intake combined with my Flowmaster 40 series provide awesome sound!"

"Installed this upgrade to try and get rid of a whistling noise in cold weather (turns out that's something to do with the heating system - belt slip that can't be fixed). Anyway, the intake gets a nice throaty sound around 3,000 RPM and really sounds great up in the 5-6,000's. Noticed a little bit more pickup on top of my Edge Evolution chip, but not much. No noticable change in MPGs, but there's a lot more room to work under the hood with that gigantor air filter assembly out of there. All-in-all, probably not worth the money unless you have nothing better to do."

"My toyota 4runner don't run good after I installed it. I took it off and put my stock intake back on. I think I need to take it to someone to adjust it after I put it on. My check engine light came on after I installed it."

"I thought the installation would be easy and only take an hour or so. WRONG! The installation pictures did not match my engine. There needed to be clearer written instructions to go with the pictures. I took it to my mechanic and had him install it ($65.00). There was a connection missing in the kit and he had to improvise something (if you're interested, I will call him and find out which piece it was). That was not what I expected."

"I Purchased a kit #57-2546 for a Ford Super Duty.Overall I am happy with the product but, Why should I have to lay out the location and drill a 5/8 in. hole in this system? This hole should be there and a plug provided, use the hole or use the plug. Also installing the edge trim was a total pain in the ass! Premake this gasket so you just install it."

"I think this is a great product. I noticed an immediate increase in power, mostly in the RPM range from the graph of the dyno that was provided. Sounds great and looks even better. It was easy to install and the hardest part was putting the gasket on the heat shield just because of the fit. I noticed a slight increase in gas mileage but not until over the 2000 rpm range. I got better mileage at 80 than 70, go figure. Anyway, I love it."

"I was disapointed with the fit, the shroud was gasketed like it was supposed to seal the fresh air from the engine compartment, which it is, but the sheetmetal was inches away from completing the seal."

"i got this product for my 02 f250 diesel truck it was so easy to put in the sound of the new filter sounds great and no check engine lights came on diesel wise i do feel im saving some but its really hard to tell with the pump prices jumping so much great service from the vendor as well do not go for a after market K&N or copy version stick to the best known name"
