"Well I haven't been able to do any testing with monitoring system in regards to HP increase or solid data on mileage, but I will give my initial views.
1st install was a breeze. Took about 45 mins to get the old box out and the new kit in and it would have been less time if I would have had an easier time getting the actual filter on the end of the tube (20 degree weather, ended up using a heat gun for flexibility).
2nd there were no problems once installed. Mass airflow sensor goes right back on along with oxygen sensor so no diagnostic issues. No leaks in the system and it did have a different sound as you could here the air bing sucked in.
I have registered higher airflow then with the stock box, but it has been so cold that I can't really tell how much of a temp drop. And for the mileage I can't tell yet since there has been a lot of snow and use 4wd.
When I have more data and quit playing with all the settings on my Hyperpac I'll update my review and if it all comes out as advertised I will change my rating to 5 stars.
The only negative I had was the size of the hole the tube goes through where you mount the filter. I know there has to be room for engine movement, but it seems large enough that you can pull some hot air from the engine compartment. I might just make my own rubber gasket that fully seals it off from the engine compartment and still allow it to move a little."

"Went from an ok ride to a smile induced thrill. Was getting 13.5mpg in city to 16.3mpg now.Haven't travelled on highway long enough to see were that figure is yet.But it sure is fun getting on the freeway now!!Installation is easy after the stock air box is removed. NOTE-change mufflers out for bullets(sound goes out the back with no resonance in car further enhancing the flow of the filter)"

"Installation was a snap and I loved the power boost in the higher rpm ranges. The rich tone it creates is great the only caution would be to be cautious of deep puddles because the intake is down so low"

"The kit went on easy, the only problem was the fit to the throttlebody. The hose there could be a little larger for the clamps. Too soon to tell if mileage increased but the throttle response is better and it sounds great."

"All parts appear well-made. If installed per instrx, the heat-shield will cut into the top radiator hose. Shimming the forward heat-shield mounting hole with 3/8 inch thickness of washers gives 1/4 inch clearance between heat-shield and top radiator hose. Other than that everything fit perfectly. Intake noise is no louder than stock; just a deeper, less strangled tone. Seat of the pants says noticeable power increase; especially on the big end while approaching red-line. This is the best bang for the buck on a BMW 330i motor."

"I really bought this to see if I could get a little better gas milage ... the extra horsepower was just a bonus. Before, the best I got was about 25 mpg on the highway. Now the best I've gotten is 27.25. Of course if you're driving to enjoy gains in horsepower you probably won't get any better gas mileage. I actually didn't feel as much change in horsepower as I had hoped. However, my car red-lines at 5500 rpm and the biggest gains from the product are supposed to be experienced at about 5000rpm, which I try to stay away from. I ran it up there once or twice and I think it put me back in my seat a little bit more that usual. Overall I am satisfied. With the 2 mpg increase it will eventually pay for itself. Good product. Also, easy to install."
