  • K&N FIPK Air Intake Kits are CARB exempt and emissions-legal in all 50 states
  • Detailed instructions and a complete hardware kit help you install the FIPK Intake Kit easily in 90 minutes or less
  • Your K&N FIPK Air Intake comes with K&N's legendary 10-year/1,000,000-mile warranty

Description

More passing power, more towing power and better acceleration. The K&N FIPK (Fuel Injection Performance Kit) smoothes and straightens huge volumes of incoming air, allowing your engine to breathe deep and roar. You’ll feel the power across the entire RPM range.

The backbone of the FIPK is the high-flow K&N Filtercharger air filter in K&N’s signature pink color. It’s washable, reusable, and lasts for the life of your ride. Couple that with the custom crosslink nylon intake tube, and the K&N FIPK Air Intake runs faster and cooler than the competition.

Installation? It’s a cinch. K&N packs the FIPK with a complete hardware kit and detailed step-by-step instructions to get the job done in less than an hour and a half. It even mounts to factory locations—no modifications or drilling. And, K&N protects your FIPK Air Intake Kit with a 10-year/1,000,000-mile warranty. Order now, and feel the FIPK difference everywhere you drive.

Notes

  • Emissions-related parts for new model year vehicles may be in "pending" status for CARB certification. Earning certification takes time, but will be complete before your new vehicle's first smog check.
  • AutoAnything’s exclusive 90-day money back guarantee: try it out and if it doesn't fully meet your expectations – installation was too difficult, performance gains weren’t impressive - send it back in any condition for a full refund. AutoAnything is not responsible for return shipping.
  • CARB exempt products are legal for use in all 50 states. Products that are not CARB exempt are legal in most states, but may not be used in California or states with similar emissions control laws.

WHAT GAS MILEAGE?

"I HAVE RAN ONLY ONE TANK OF GAS THROUGH THE TRUCK WITH THE NEW FILTER AND HAVE'NT NOTICED ANY CHANGE IN GAS MILEAGE. THAT IS THE ONLY REASON THAT I BOUGHT IT. I WILL KEEP LOOKING AND HOPEFULLY IT WILL IMPROVE."

IMPRESSIVE

Posted on 01/01/2008 by Gary N. - 2003 Ford F150 (Menasha,WI)

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful.

"This Intake is very impressive. I've only had it on my truck about 1 month but I immediately noticed the throttle response. Not to mention the beffy sound it makes from sucking so much air. I gained about 2 miles a gallon as well. Installation was fairly easy just a little time consuming. Instructions were easy to follow. I highly recommend this product."

"This install was fairly easy, although the rubber lip isn't pre-bent for the turns required which was a little annoying. I haven't seen any noticable power increase yet and haven't tracked the mileage. But, it has made it sound meaner, if that counts for anything."

"I got this FIPK Air Intake for christmas and I put it on that day, the Installation was pretty easy, and the directions made sense if you follow them exactly, I just didnt like the small pictures. As for the performance part, it gives my engine a deeper tone when I get on it and I have seen a improvement in the gas mileage. I really love it."

Nice Kit! K&N rocks!

Posted on 12/26/2007 by Daniel C. (Oakwood,GA)

"I installed this on a 1993 Suburban along with a throttle body spacer. The installation was fairly easy, but if I hadn't used the spacer it would have been even easier. The difference was immediate and noticeable. Of course, being a plastic intake tube it's louder, but I like it that way. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is the price. Of course, I bought it so I thought it was worth it to me. This is the second K&N intake kit I have bought, and probably not the last."

Posted on 12/25/2007 by James K M. - 1988 Acura Integra (Goleta,CA)

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful.

"The Integra seems to breathe a lot better. Didn’t notice any fuel economy improvement yet, but haven't use a full tank since the FIPK was installed. I also haven't noticed the increased air intake noise that others have mentioned. I did leave the air ducting in place to direct air to the FIPK."

Mileage decreased: 16.2 down to 14.7

Posted on 12/23/2007 by Tom A. - 2003 Dodge Ram (Rio Rancho,NM)

1 of 2 people found the following review helpful.

"2003 Dodge Diesel (Auto, Quadcab, Shortbed) - The K&N was easy to install (less than an hour). The air suction sounds like a bus but the truck runs better: it feels lighter, it's quicker. AutoAnything.com was great, easy to buy stuff, great website, free shipping on my purchase and I got it in 3 days. Excellent service! But mileage from the K&N is a problem - 16.2 down to 14.7 ...a lose of 1.5 mpg (almost 10%) . Times 30 gallons equals 45 miles per tank. Divided by 14.7 mpg equals 3.06 extra gallons needed, times $3.35 a gallon is... an extra $10 a tank. So the K&N not only cost me $190... but 3 tanks requires another $30 a month or $360 a year in extra fuel costs. OK, you don't buy a truck for the mileage but I've put K&N's in other vehicles and actually increased both the power and mileage. Not this time... To top it off, six weeks later I put on Nitto 305/70/17's. The truck looks great, runs great and rides like a dream. And, around town, I get 12.8 miles per gallon! (18.3 on the highway, down from 21.4) Between the K&N and the tires... that's a loss of 21% ($27 a tank, or $78 month, or $936 a year). I think it's time to sell this truck..."
