"Just listening to the sound of your engine with this filter on is worth it, but the added horsepower is nice too. It's hard to stay off the throttle long enough to see the added gas millage, but it's there as well. Great filter."

K&N FIPK Air Intake boost

"I installed the K&N Air Intake on my 1997 Jeep Wrangler Sahara. Putting the rubber seal on the heat shield was one of the most time consuming parts, but it was worth it. When I took it on the road, I immediately noticed the difference in performance. No more hesitation or bogging. Even at 40 mph in 5th, step on it and it responds. Great product."

"Purchased the product and and the instructions are not accurate. They forget to put the step for the weatherstripping in. The first step is to connect the electric sensor. If this is done first you spend the whole time working over your engine. Tools, screws go down the hole and just a working nightmare. Connecting the sensor should be last. The screws where all the vacuum hoses go are copper, but guess what, the attachments into those copper screws are plastic. PLASTIC? I spent 2 hours trying to align them with freaking pliers. plastic threads and coppers thread rarely match up.. not good for the money."

"I have been very satisfied with this product. Since installing it I have noticed a large gas mileage increase as well as more horsepower especially in the mid band. The only complaint is a faint whistle when first compressing the accelerator. Excellent product!! Highly recommended!!!"

"great filter! I really didn't expect as much of an improvement as i saw! the truck definately has a lot more "pep in it's step." I haven't judged the MPG's yet, but the power increase is really all i was looking for! Great product, I'm thinking baout getting another oen ot put into my excursion!
p.s. the whistle the intake makes, makes the turbo whistle on the diesel sound even better! i love the sound!"

"i installed the kit on my 3.0 liter ranger and i immediately noticed the difference in power and throttle response. It gave it the nice deep sound you want in your truck and also i noticed my engine runs cooler than before along with my flowmaster muffler which will increase engine life and performance. overall installation took about 30 mins"

"I am very happy with my K&N FIPK. It took me less than an hour to install on my 4.0L '99 Jeep Wrangler. I had no problems with the install and I am not much of an auto mechanic. I am running 31x10.50 BF Goodrich TA's, with a factory Dana 44 Trac Lock rear, Banks Torque Tube Header and Cat Back system but still have the original head pipe and cat converter. All together I have much better throttle response, especially at lower speeds. My gas mileage has improved, and overall drivability is outstanding. I do not find the FIPK to be noisy under the hood."

"I recently installed the filter system on my 2000 Ford F150 w/ V6 engine and standard tranny. I had no problem installing the unit simply because of the detailed step-by-step instructions. The sound of the engine roars at about 3500 RPM like a true hi-performance engine. As for the gas mileage, I don't know... I've been flooring it most of the time!!!"

"I gained 1 to 1 1/2 MPG HWY but can't tell any difference city. The noise especially when trans down to 3rd gear pulling a hill at 50-65 MPH is really louder than I expected. Happy with the HWY MPG increase but not happy with the loud noise when motor is pulling."

"Installation was simple. Sounds really good. When you stomp it you know something is under the hood. Absolutely no increase in MPG although nothing short of trimming 1000 pounds off of this truck will increase MPG. Then you would have a 1/2 ton. Not sure about performance, maybe."
