"Install was slightly more complex than advertised, involving a number of tools (ratchet, nut drivers, assorted screw drivers and wrenches, rubber mallet, foul language, neighbor's cat, kitchen sink) and removing / replacing some mounting bolts for my ABS block. That being said, with the instructions provided it really was no big deal, just more than this engineer is used to doing under the hood. This thing sounds like a beast at WOT and preliminary results seem to indicate an increase in gas mileage as well on my IS300. With all that and a CARB exemption to boot, what more could you want?"

"What a great product! Installation was easy, increased power in mid-range is noticably improved, and gas mileage has also improved by nearly 2mpg, (if I can keep my foot out of it). All in all, the K&N FIPK, has proven to be a great purchase. For those of you into sound,while accelerating, this is as throaty as it gets!"

"I have had my intake in my '04 F-150 for about a week and a half and the performance has been awesome. The throttle response has been much smoother and the sound is much tougher. Still waiting to see a fuel economy improvement. The only bad things to mention were the instructions (they leave you to figure things out quite a bit). One of the bolts they sent was also the wrong size so I had to go buy a bolt to fit. The QC department at K&N could use some improvement, but I definitely recommend the product!"

"Lets my Envoy breathe when I'm towing my racecar to events. Obviously GMC restricted airflow by design but this K&N lets my Envoy take big gulps of air that it really needed to tow my load and it is very happy now!"

"I bought the K&N FIPK Cold Air Intake for my 2000 Durango because I liked the idea of not having to change the air filter for probably the rest of my SUV's life, and because it adds better performance and improved gas milage. I've had it on for a couple of weeks now and I will say I have indeed noticed the performance improvement and hope that my gas milage improves too, but it's too early to tell just now. It looks cool and fits just right. One thing though, the K&N website has issued a recall on certain Dodge FIPK intakes so I advise you to visit the website before you buy. As usual, AutoAnything had the best price around and delivered promply. I will continue to buy from them as I have for some time now."

"When I was putting this kit in I was using the directions, but the heat sheild wouldn't fit like the directions said, so I had to wing. But it wasn't hard to figure out how to get it all in. I love the power that it has given my F-150. The acceleration is great. Now the engine is actually haulin' tail. This is a great product. If you don't have this product you NEED to get it."

"After an hour of easy installation my Jeep seems to have a little better acceleration but nothing too noticable. Sounds throaty on my inline 6 when at high rpms. Hoping for some fuel milage gains but haven't had time to check. Overall an easy but expensive way to make you feel better about your vehicle."

"First of all, I thought that the included installation instructions read very clear and thorough. Of course having some mechanical aptitude is a big plus. Otherwise, the installation went very well! Then the time came for the first road test. The moment the engine cranked over, I could tell by the cool sound that something sounded powerful. As I made my way down the streets, I really could feel an increase in throttle response and overall performance. The ride on the freeway sealed the deal for me; the ability for my vehicle to achieve cruising speed seemed effortless from before. And not to mention the deeper, throaty resonating sound from the exhaust pipes!! I am very impressed with this item!!"
