"I love how much of a difference my engine sounds now. When I floor my Monte SS it really gets up and goes. Now that I got the K&N and Flowmaster pipes, I could not be more pleased with my ride. Have not been on the highway yet to see if it has made a difference with the MPG."

Great Product

"Installed in one hour. Clear instructions. There is no noticable sound difference at low RPMs and in highway driving. However, when I punch it my Dodge HEMI really roars. Great sound. I am getting at least one and a half miles per gallon better fuel milage."

"The install took maybe an hour. All hardware was included, but I haven't noticed much of an increase in performance. I have yet to fill up since installing it, so hopefully the MPG increase (if there is any) will be sizeable enough to keep the kit on."

"i have a 96 roadmaster with an Lt1 and this setup fit perfect with not much underhood noise and noticable throtle responce improvement. im still checking to see fuel mileage increase but so far i like it"

"i installed the intake myself onto my 2002 Nissan Pathfinder. It helped out on acceleration, gas milage, and gave my engine an attractice noise. i race my pathfinder off road, and this intake gave me an advantage over those trucks out there. the only thing i didnt like is that the performance was not reflective of the price."

"I can definitely hear and feel an increase in power since installing the FIPK intake on my '97 mustang cobra! I don't race, so I can't show you time slips, but I think the K&N lets the rev's come up much quicker. It's an easy and inexpensive horsepower boost. tomt"

"Highly recommended! I wasn’t skeptical at all… I ordered this for my 96 grand Cherokee 4.0l v6, without this product my car was a slug, with this product my car is a slug on steroids… I also ordered the jet throttle body spacer.. This combo works well.. Not sure about the mpg savings yet but I feel the extra horses as I pull into traffic and such, honestly there is more horse power with this.. Also with the combo it adds a sweet roar/rumble sound as I accelerate and a blow off sound after letting off the gas.. As for the installation, it was easy, it will take time; if you want it to look nice and put care into it it’ll take a little longer. I recommend if you have a older vehicle after you take off the old air box junk and if you get a throttle body spacer or not, take the 4 bolts or so and disconnect the throttle body from the car and clean the crud out of it, get all that carb and crap off (I used simple green and paper towels) make sure not to get crap in the intake, I used masking tape. Shipping was fast and awesome too.."

"So far so good. Took about 30 minutes to install, the instructions were easy to follow, and the shiping was prompt. As for performance you can hear the difference with the higher air flow, and a noticable horsepower increase. But haven't noticed the better gas mileage but this is still the first week. Overall a positive experience I do recomend autoanything, for a quality product, prompt service, and reasonable prices."

A friend of mine who restores old british cars went with me to Laguna Seca for the Historic Road Races and when he first heard me get on it, he asked " so what kind of exhaust system did you get for this?" "the ad stated improved, better fuel economy, but it took a dive, i lost 3 miles to the gallon(that hurts). you would think that for $240.00 you would get what you pay for!!!"

K&N Generation II Installation

"The generation II cold air intake system installation went well except for 2 issues. I used the large bulb seal instead of the "1/4 trim" seal in step 11 & could not get the elliptical duct to fit. After correcting that it fit okay. So, I had cut the large bulb seal & had to install it in sections instead of in one piece. Other than that things went well. It's installed and the engine loves "the K&N cold air.""

"Prior to installation of the FIPK, my vehicle would hesitate at the shift points. Now,even when hauling my camper, acceleration and shifting is smooth. It is a bit noisier, like the sound of a big block V-8 with a large 4-barrel. As soon as I lose the urge to put my foot through the firewall, I'll run a check of fuel mileage."

"I am pleased with the results of my K&N intake kit. I noticed the improved throttle response immediately. The installation was easier than the 25 steps on the instruction sheet seemed. The only downside was the bracket from the intake manifold to the air intake tube did not fit. I bent it several times to fit, but the spacer provided was twice the thickness that was needed to install it, so I am going to get a large tie-wrap to keep it centered in the air box."

"Wow did the air intake add horsepower! Instant pedal response all the time now! Easily 9 more hp like the box said. But it did not help on my gas milage though. I was hoping for maybe a slight change, But o well, who puts a air intake on for gas milage anyways! Good add on."
