"The package arrived on time and after a brief inventory I started the installation. Some of the installation instructions are confusing as the parts(especially hardware) are not identified correctly and left at consumer's guessing. This is not good and it should be corrected by the manufacturer ASAP. Over all the installation went well and the product is functioning as designed for the time being. I took a 800 mile trip right after I installed the kit and honestly I am not sure about the gas saving claim as I have not been able to determine if any gas is indeed saved once this product is installed. In my opinion pricing is still high for this kit as other Co are bringing to the market similar functioning kits for a lot less money."

"The installation was not too bad, I first thought that the 90 minute claim from K&N was a little extreme, and it really only took about 45 minutes or so to do it. But after messing around and adjusting it to my best liking, it was about 90 minutes. I don't like the heat shield design much. And there is no splash guard under the filter to keep water and spray off the filter itself, and it needs something bracing the end of the filter to keep it from bouncing. The plastic intake tube makes me just a little nervous about breaking from vibrations, but it is probably ok, But I am really not a fan of the rubber coupler that connects it to the turbo. It is very short and feels a little thin. If that goes it could cause some expensinve problems. It is a large and heavy filter that probably could be a little shorter because it does not really fit comfortably (in my opinion) and you can't see the restriction indicator. It does have a stud on the end, so I will fab something to support it better. I have to say that I love the sound. I can really hear the turbo now. The old intake tube is horrible, full of baffles and stuff to subdue the turbo whine and it feels like it weighs about 5 pounds at least. And the stock box would suck the restriction gauge right down to the red with even with a new filter. The K&N is an extremely less restrictive alternative that I think will work fine with a few modifications to satisfy my personal dislikes."

"I installed the Helix Power Tower to my throttle body first, drove around two days. Ehh, o.k. without the K+N cold air intake.Gained a little. Then the K+N intake ,and with both of them on my 2002 GMC Envoy what a big difference! Highly recommend to anyone. Easy bolt on power 30min.max. Sounds good too when you need to get around all the tourists."

"The K&N kit was very professional and easy to install. Although the instructions were very easy to follow, the illustrations were a little bit "blurry". If the hardware were referenced in the text, it would go easier too(ex. 1/4-20 HHCS x 1" long). This package makes our V6 Mustang more fun to drive without the expense of a GT V8 insurance."

"With the rising prices of gasoline and the unstable auto industry, I feel that holding on and upgrading existing vehicles is a must. Having said that, I am enjoying the increased performance and fuel economy of this upgrade to my 2003 Chevy truck. Engine sounds "meaner" and runs leaner."

"I believe for the price paid for the intake the quality could be improved. It seems as if the clamps provided could be of better quality. However, the installation was strait forward and looks great. Noticeable performance at the bottom end and sounds great. I would recommend."

"I am a proud owner of a 1998 5.9 Jeep GC. She's a beautiful ride but hard on mpg..... I did a lot of research before I purchased my C.A.I. I would strongly suggest purchasing from AutoAnything. Customer service is impecable, shipping precise and very fast. I chose the K&N FIPK for the simple reason that I know I can trust their products, besides it guarantees an increase of 25 horsepower. Everything from quality, installation to performance of this awesome product passed my expectations "WOW" you won't be dissapointed. I let my friend who helped me install the K&N be the first to drive the beast with the new uprgade. His responce was, I have to tell you - "my 2005 Nissan Titan has a lot more power with an AEM C.A.I"... I said the proof is in the pudding. Keep in mind my jeep is 8 years older and has less horse power. As we left work for the day we decided to solve this little delema. My jeep lunged off the line and the titan never stood a chance, (Jeep 1, Titan 0) lol. As far as the mpg, hmmmmmmmm having too much fun to bother checking, it appears though that it has improved. I am a true believer in this product and AutoAnything. Don't waste your time with other products. I purchased the intake for $269.00 during the Memorial sale with free shipping. I don't think you can beat AutoAnythings pricing or service. Just a reminder, "Jesus, is the answer to all your problems"."

"I love the product. I've noticed some pickup in acceleration and an increase in fuel efficiency. There is a slight increase in engine volume during acceleration but it's a cool "growl". Product looks good too. Installation instructions were good but one of the screws sheared off with very little pressure and the fit is a little tight if you have a throttle body spacer installed. So far I am very happy with my purchase."
