"The pathfinder kit increased throttle response ten fold. It doesn't drag like it used to do. It helped with gas mileage and gave it more torque, and the sound that it puts out lets just say I like it. I put this kit on my Infiniti QX-4 and it mounted right up, the QX-4 and the Pathfinder are more or less the same vehicle just the QX-4 is glorified. I bet money that I got 20+ horsepower from this kit. Would recommend it anyday."

"I'm not happy at all. This is the 4th different car I've put one of these intakes in and it sounds terrible on the GP. K&N Tech wasn't helpful either. If you like your car to sound like nails on a chalkboard, then its a must have"

K&N FIPK

"I have only had installed for a few days, so I don't have a full take on performance and fuel economy yet. I have 2005 Envoy XL w/ 5.3L V8. It sounds good when you get on it, but it is unnoticeable when driving normally. I had only a few glitches on the install. The intake plumbing is very close to fan and on first attempt the blade rubbed it. The heat shield also needed a little adjsuting but I think it will be okay now! The installed was only about 70 minutes! I am driving to OBX this week and I hoping for an increase in fuel economy!"

"I get about 2 more mile to the gallon. It might not seem that great but when you go from 12 to almost 15 its a big improvement."

Makes a difference!

"I put this on my 03 Silverado along with a magnaflow dual exhaust. With this setup I noticed about a 1-2 mpg gain. It took about an hour for me to install the intake. Well worth the money considering AutoAnything had the lowest price i could find on the web. Definite difference in acceleration and it sounds awesome!"

"It was very hard to actually feel the pull, but you will definateley see the speedometer climb just a little faster. But I felt a difference when I climbed a dirt hill. When I just had exhaust, I had to bogg down to 1st. My little truck couldnt make it up in any gear but first. Then after I had the intake, I climbed up it without high rpm's or spinning tires. I even shifted all the way into third gear at the top. So it gives you a considerably big difference when you want to climb or haul. Before the intake kit, the ehaust sounded cool and deep, but when the rpm's got to around 3500, the engine hum grew louder than the disipating exaust sound. Now after the intake kit was installed, The engine became quieter and the exhaust got louder. And now the engine never gets louder than the exhaust. The exhaust becomes more agressive and throatier and the higher rpm range. For those who also have the 2.3 Ranger, they will know that you cant drive faster than +/-65 on the freeway. Now you still wont be able to accelerate from 50 to 70 as fast as other vehicles, but you will now make a definate slow climb up to 70 or 80. The temp under the hood with this intake and some performance ehaust will be a lot cooler. Healthy for the engine. Prolongs the engine life. Very good product, Im happy with it. Easy installation and explicit instructions. 45 min."

"The unit was fairly easy to install. Intructions were very straightforward. Added a very "throaty" sound during peak acceleration. Added fuel mileage is irrelevent because this will cause you to want to drive more aggresively. It looks cool too."

"K&N Air System 2001 Dodge Ram, 2500, 5.9L diesel. Received on time, installation was very easy and took about 30 minutes. Haven't driven much yet but what driving I've done, there seems to be a little more pep. Will report on any fuel improvements after a few tank fills. Very pleased with AutoAnything's website... and love the great prices too."

Mercury Marauder K&N Intake

"The K&N Intake system for my Marauder was an easy install, taking less then one hour. The sound at idle is no different then the stock intake. The big difference is when you get the throttle body open to half or more. The can quickly revs and sounds like it has an old Quadrajet carburator. The seat of the pants tells you that the claimed gain in horsepower is there. The wonderful sound the intake makes tell you and anyone within ear shot that the car means business. The looks are as great as the sound. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to improve the performance of their car."

"I was worried that the entire kit would be kinda small and not really have much to it. But, I was pleasantly surprised when the box got here. When i was putting the system on, i was definitely satisfied with the looks and performance of the entire intake system."

Better than advertised

"Installed on an '05 Dakota 4.7L. Tow a 24' 5th wheel (3500lbs)and pull a 6% grade when we go out. The kit is GREAT! No more pulling the hill at 20mph and getting stuck behind semi's. I keep the rpm in the 3000-3500 range and I just cruise along. Throttle response is outstanding, even without towing. Increased fuel economy (a great reason to get the kit). Already show an increase of 2+mpg when not towing. Went from 14mpg when towing to just over 16mpg and 18mpg on the highway to nearly 21mpg when not towing. Next thing is the stainless steel exhaust kit from another manufacturer. Will probably put an FIPK on my wifes '03 Impala."
