"I like that the FIPK pretty much looks like it belongs under the hood with an otherwise stock 4.7L V8. The sound is nice, but the power increase was minimal. I'll be adding a 3" exhaust and we'll see if we can't free up a few more hp. Overall, the kit is ok; I wouldn't exactly say it's worth the money though."

"After I installed to Air Intake System I know a difference in my car's performance and I even heard the air being pulled into my engine. The first thing that can out of my mouth was "yeah man." Now all I need is and exhaust system the provides power but not too much noise. Does anyone have any suggestions?"

"This intake is an awsome addition to exhuast and a programmer. Makes the truck sound great and gives you power you can feel. Easy to install and works way better than the volant I had on another truck. Havent checked MPG but am very pleased with this product."

"Kit was purchased to increase gas mileage. Took 1,200 mile trip with stock filter, and I turned around and did it with the K&N FIPK. Same route; same speed; less weight with K & N; but IDENTICAL gas mileage. Most of the driving was done in the 2,200 RPM range (75-78 MPH). I was hoping for 2 mpg more, but I received zero. It was a waist of my time and money. I was going to purchase a throtle body spacer for the same purpose, but I am very reluctant."

"So far, so good. It looks & sounds great. It was relatively easy to install but it took me 1.5 hours to complete and I'm an experienced mechanic. The web instructions were spot on and very easily understood. Got a slight bump in fuel economy, too. I love the way the engine growls on heavy acceleration."

"I've had the K&N CAI installed for about two weeks now. I am definitely getting more power available at all ranges; I don't redline the engine, so I don't know what it's like at the high range. However, I can say that the surge of energy (and sound) is pronounced to what I experienced before. I have 102K miles and the engine feels stronger than new. I think that I am getting about 10% better in mileage; can't tell for sure until after I stop using the a/c. In any case I am at least getting the same mileage with more power and the use of the a/c for what I got before without the a/c on. The installation was very clear; it's great that you can open the pdf file before you purchase. I guess that shows the company confidence in the product. My next step is the Borla exhaust."

"Installed on my 1999 F150 in about 2 hours. Man you can tell the difference, the throttle response is great. Have not checked gas mileage yet because of heavy foot for now just to hear the sound, but sure it will improve. Have ordered another for my brother’s F150. Highly Recommend."

"The K&N FIPK Cold Air Intake, was a snap to install.It is a clean assembly that added to my car. I then added a High flow exhaust & had the Dinan Stage 2 Engine and transmision software downloaded. My car really came alive!!!! This combination added almost 30 Horsepower & Torque. Thank You Doug"

"Made a difference right away. I comute over a 9000 foot mountain every day 30 miles each direction and I gained one full round trip on a tank of gas. 70 + miles more on a tank of gas. Thanks!"

"What you have to understand, first of all, this by itself really doesn't do much for power increase. However, when used along with a bigger exhaust and a power programmer or chip it's like having a new truck. More air=more power. The install was quick and easy and the instructions were clear and easy to read."
